I am a long time TurboTax user and I always do my taxes using the Forms method. For two years in a row now (2023 & 2024 tax years) I have had to contact TurboTax regarding a glitch with the Rental Income form T776 whereby the rental income listed is split 50/50 with my husband (whose tax return is completed together with mine) but when I enter the information on form T776 it does not transfer the 50% share of the income to his tax return.  The work around I was given was to go back and re-enter the information using the Easy Prep method.  Again this year (2025 tax year) I am entering the information in the Forms method and it is NOT transferring the information to my husband's return.  Why, in three entire years now, has TurboTax not been able to correct this problem in the Forms method?!!!  You would think that this would be a sufficient timeframe for your programmers to correct this error.  I should not have to go back and forth between the two methods just to get the information to show up properly in our returns, especially since we have paid good money to purchase a tax program that we fully expect (and I'm sure the CRA expects) to be able to calculate our information correctly.   When is this glitch going to be corrected so that the information can be entered correctly in the Forms method and show up in both returns as it should be doing in the first place?
If you receive a pension, you should receive a form 1099-R which you have to enter on your tax return.   You can enter your form 1099-R by following the instructions in this TurboTax Help article.

I filed my taxes on 01/14/2026 I went back in after I filed and was going to submit my statement and went to my wages and noticed EIN number was not correct I changed it there but returns as already filed but not sent or accepted beys Irs until the 23rd. so I know the EIN number probably was not updated since it was already in received status by TT on the 14th. Well the Irs also did not reject the return the wages and employer name and address match but not the EIN number, so what is going to happen now why was not rejected by the IRS to be fixed
Qmid code I7Q6 keeps getting rejected for electrical panel upgrade on online version.  Says to print and mail it in.  Users report it works on freetaxusa.  Shoddy work for a paid tax software.
I'm getting the same error, quite annoying. And I guess you can only talk to AI??

M-M Tax   Not sure why you are stumping for Intuit TT, but I have NEVER filed my taxes through Intuit.  There is no requirement to use them.  I can print out all the appropriate forms and send them into the great IRS paper cloud, or use TT as a gathering point and allow my accountant to do e-filing, or if I can get the AGI down e-file (https://www.irs.gov/file-your-taxes-for-free) on my own.  Sending Intuit or any other not required third party my annual return would seem as inappropriate as scanning my passport or driver license to one of the purported secure identity services like the one used by LinkedIn or CapitalOne.  And yes Intuit has a leak "https://www.classaction.org/blog/intuit-data-breach-lawsuit-filed-by-turbotax-user-over-2024-cyberattack".

Yes, you can still file your 2024 return electronically using TurboTax. The NETFILE system for 2024 returns is typically open until January 30, 2026. If you are filing late, the consequences depend on whether you owe money: If you are getting a refund, there is no penalty for filing late.  If you owe taxes, you will likely face a late-filing penalty. Interest: The CRA charges compound daily interest on any unpaid balance starting from May 1, 2025 (If you owe any) For more information, refer to CRA link: Interest and penalties on late taxes   Use this link to prepare and file your tax return for Tax Year 2024: Tax Year 2024. Here is a link to the prior year's taxes.   Thank you for choosing TurboTax.

How do I keep on top of this issue?  Big item donation year.  Dozens of items in the range of $100-$200 donation value.  I want to report separately to minimize IRS misinterpreting.  I downloaded my CSV file from ItsDeductible before it crapped out.  Each "Charitable Organizations Worksheet" (in FORMS) still shows a section for ItsDeductible imported data.  Can I access that somehow??  Is there an alternative way to import data?
Wanted to bump this issue for resolution.  I may have to use another platform if TurboTax does not support this functionality.
Keep moving forward. It does look like you are starting over but the program will take you back to the form where you can edit.
