Just like it says, turbotax is not ready. (Neither is the IRS for that matter. The shutdown really impaired their ability to get ready for the changes in the tax laws.). There's no point in rushing, especially since the IRS won't accept any returns until the end of January, and even the IRS will block e-filed returns that contain tax items that they haven't programmed yet. Sorry but you just have to be patient, the program will be updated as soon as the IRS and turbotax approve the forms and make sure they work correctly.

STOP. You cannot use online TurboTax for a 2024 return.
You cannot change the tax year. The current online program is for 2025 only. Only a 2025 return can be prepared online and only a 2025 return can be e-filed.
Online preparation and e-filing for 2022, 2023, and 2024 is permanently closed.
Note: The desktop software you need to prepare the prior year return must be installed/downloaded to a full PC or Mac. It cannot be used on a mobile device.
To file a return for a prior tax year
If you need to prepare a return for 2022, 2023, or 2024 you can purchase and download desktop software to do it, then print, sign, and mail the return(s)
https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/past-years-products/
You may also want to explore purchasing the software from various retailers such as Amazon, Costco, Best Buy, Walmart, Sam’s, etc.
Remember to prepare your state return as well—if you live in a state that has a state income tax.
https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/state-taxes/contact-state-department-revenue/L9qVToi02_US_en_US?uid=m6e06um0
When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.
Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses. Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.

The deadline to remove an excess contribution made for 2024 before the due date of your 2024 tax return, including extensions, was October 15, 2025. Assuming that the corrective distribution is being made after that date, which seems to be the case, you are subject to a 6% excess-contribution penalty for 2024, reported on 2024 Form 5329. If the excess was not removed form the Roth IRA before the end of 2025, you own another 6% penalty on the excess for 2025, reported on 2025 Form 5429. (If you were eligible to contribute to a Roth IRA for 2025, some or all of the excess can be absorbed as a 2025 contribution, eliminating the need to remove that portion of the excess.) Correcting the excess contribution after that date requires an ordinary distribution from the Roth IRA exactly equal to the excess, with no adjustment for investment gain or loss. Because this distribution is a distribution of contribution basis, this distribution is not subject to any tax or penalty.

You cannot e-file yet if that is what you are attempting to do. E-filing is not open yet for 2025 returns. There are a number of updates needed before the software will be ready; one of the things it is not yet ready for is the change for overtime and tips, so you will have to wait.
The IRS will not begin to accept 2025 returns until the end of January, so slow down, be patient and wait for all of the forms and schedules, and software that you need to be ready for you to file a correct tax return.

It is too late to use the special procedure to remove excess funds. The deadline for that was October 15, 2025.
You first need to file an amended 2024 return to report the excess contributions and pay a 6% penalty.
Then for 2025, you needed to make a regular withdrawal before December 31, 2025 (not a special withdrawal of excess contributions, just a regular withdrawal.). Withdrawal of Roth contributions is not taxable, and withdrawing the excess contributions removes future penalties. This gets reconciled on form 5329.
If you did not request the withdrawal until 2026, then you need to pay another 6% excess on the excess contributions that were carried forward on your 2025 return. While contributions can be retroactive (within certain limits), withdrawals always happen on the date they happen. (Or, if you had earned income in 2025, there might be another way to use up the excess in 2025 without a withdrawal, but you said you already made a withdrawal. If you had earned income in 2025, ask for more details.)

You could use the desktop download software on a full PC or Mac to prepare your state return that has to be mailed, or you can go to the state's tax site and see if you can get to the 2023 forms to prepare by hand. You will need information from your 2023 federal return.
You will be able to access the 2023return you started by using the exact same account and user ID that you used when you started it. But you can no longer use online software for any further changes.
Start a 2025 return online and enter some personal information so that the menu on the left opens up and lets you access your past year returns.
Online tax preparation and e-filing for 2023 returns is now permanently closed.
Now it is too late to use online software or to e-file. If you have any changes/corrections at all to make to your 2024 return, you now have to complete it using desktop software, which you must download to a full PC or Mac (not to a mobile device). Then you need to print, sign and mail it.

If you already paid for your online software you can ask customer support for a download of the desktop software.
They are available from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific time Monday - Friday

ACCURACY GUARANTEE
TurboTax provides do-it-yourself tax software. TurboTax guarantees the calculations done by its software. The information entered into that software is data entered by you, the user. TurboTax cannot and does not check that information against any outside sources, so TT cannot know if you entered your information completely or correctly. It is up to you to enter all of your information correctly and completely, and to check your tax return before you file it. If you forget to enter some income, or enter it incorrectly, enter it in the wrong place, etc. then you may end up owing additional tax to the IRS and/or state. TurboTax does not pay the additional tax you owe. If TurboTax’s calculations were incorrect, and you owe penalties and/or interest, then TT will pay the penalties and interest. The tax due is always owed by you, and must be paid by you.
If you need to enter a claim for the accuracy guarantee:

I think all we can say is, last year it was there, and it will probably be there this year, but not until February. (I think my ML docs were available around Feb 10.). Anyway, it is a decision by the broker whether or not to participate, so if ML really is just gone, that would be a question to ask ML.

Have you entered income from working in 2025? If not, you will not receive an income tax refund based on having dependent children.
The maximum amount of the child tax credit is now $2000 per child; the refundable “additional child tax credit” amount is $1700. In order to get that credit, you have to have income from working.
Take the amount you earned from working. Subtract $2500. Multiply the rest by 15%. That is the additional child tax credit per child that you can get—- up to the maximum of $1700 per child. If the amount you earned from working was low, you will not get the full $1700 per child.
If your child is older than 16 at the end of 2025, you do not get the CTC. But you may still get the non-refundable $500 credit for other dependents instead.

Do not expect quick results from amending. It can take four months or more for the IRS to process an amended return.
