Thank you so much, I put $0 and it got accepted. I did mail it and file my taxes late last year because I was deployed over seas.

If you filed late or amended, your 2023 AGI might not be in the system. Try using zero instead. If using zero will not work, then print, sign and mail the return.

Writing to the "Office of the President" will not give you your money back or give you a free upgrade, but you should call them at that link so that they know that their customers are unhappy.

I'm wondering if anyone had any luck with Intuit on this. Like others, I have realized TY2023 and TY2024 are only 1 year of coverage and would like to get either a refund from Intuit so I can purchase directly from TaxAudit, or some path to "upgrade" my 1yr coverage to full statute of limitations. I submitted a refund request through the Customer Service form, which was summarily rejected. I have not yet tried the "Office of the President" link. I see a couple of comments indicating it is also futile. Thanks in advance.

I have enjoyed using TurboTax since 1994. I like my tax information to be private and so will not use an online version. I will get extended support for Windows 10 which is very inexpensive ($30 or 1000 Microsoft points). If Intuit sticks with this plan, I will unfortunately have to switch to another program.

Try entering 0 for the AGI. The IRS might have processed your return later so the AGI didn't get entered in time. Especially if you mailed it. That works for most people. See, https://ttlc.intuit....

You have to mail federal and state in separate envelopes because they go to different places. Get a tracking number from the post office when you mail them for proof of filing.

After purchasing did it provide you the license activation code? I can't see the screen you are trying to download it from, but here's one way to download it: After purchasing you can download the installation file with the instructions at this link below. In those steps, go to the installation page it mentions. Then scroll down a bit and select the product you purchased. When you click on it, it will ask you what OS. (TurboTax Business is only for Windows.) I just tested it, and it works for me. I can get the installation file. During installation and activation it will ask for your license code. https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/license-information/install-turbotax-cd-download-software-license-code/L1wFOSXur_US_en_US

@baldietax wrote: ....this hope that TT 2025 will work on Win 10 is probably slim.... Understood, but it won't do any harm to give it a shot before buying a machine capable of running Windows 11. Users will likely know immediately whether or not they need to do that. Also, and FWIW as it's a little bit off topic, you can upgrade almost any machine capable of running Windows 10 to Windows 11 with a registry hack AND it's essentially done for you with a simple download. Before I bought my Windows 11 machines, I was able to upgrade a pair of almost 13 year-old desktops to Windows 11 - desktops that came pre-installed with Windows 8.

I wouldn't be worried about it. But as the other comments have said, you should be aware of some things. Is this a temporary job (expected to be one year or less) and away from your regular area/city of work/home? If so, that $360 a week could be tax-free. Even if that doesn't apply to you, but it is the kind of job that situation could apply to many of its employees, it seems reasonable for the employer to set it up the pay structure that way. If it IS a temporary job and you are away from your regular area/city of work/home, congratulations on a good job opportunity and having an employer that is handling things in the perfect way. If it is NOT a temporary job that is away from your regular area/city of work/home, then you need to be aware of some of the cautions that others mentioned. If they don't report it on your W-2: You will need to fill out a special form on your tax return to pay the Social Security and Medicare tax. You should be prepared for that extra amount owed on your tax return. They likely will have withheld significantly less Federal and State income tax than they should have, which is going to significantly decrease your refund or cause you to owe quite a bit. You should be prepared for that extra amount owed on your tax return. Eventually (likely a few years), the IRS will contact your employer about it, and your employer may not be happy with you. However, you seem to want this job as a resume builder, rather than a long-term job, so that may not be a concern. If they DO report it on your W-2, great, your employer is handling it correctly.

I purchased a van for my company [C-corp, 100% business use, California] in Aug/2025 for $80,000. I am estimating my corporate profits to be about $25K for 2025 BUT next year [2026] it will be closer to 100K and again in 100K in 2027 and 2028. I was trying to understand if I messed up by buying it now or I should have waiting until Jan 1, 2026 to really take advantage of section 179.
