@ thetryon2  Which country's return are you trying to prepare?   This is the USA TurboTax community forum.    Are you needing to prepare a USA return or a Canadian return?   If the latter, you should ask for help in the Canada TurboTax forum.   Or do you need to prepare returns in both countries?

@raka1225 wrote: That's a relief.  So you just can't complete the return using the forms.   You can always try Online TurboTax for free, and if you don't like it, you can seek out something else.   You don't have to pay until the very end.  However, there is an option to pay for Online TurboTax in advance in order to have viewing/printing privileges during return preparation.   That's not like desktop Forms Mode though. You cannot interact with the forms to directly edit them--only print/view (after paying).
That's a relief.  So you just can't complete the return using the forms.

Your customer service is terrible. I have tried two times to speak to someone about being overcharged for your tax service and I’m either told the wrong thing or told that I need to speak to a supervisor, but the callback I received was after supervisor hours. What do I need to do to speak to someone who can give me a partial refund for the fee I was charged that I did not authorize? I don’t want a full refund because I used your tax software, I just don’t want to be charged for the live tax service fee which I did not use and did not authorize. Extremely frustrated customer and I have used TurboTax for years.
You can see the forms before you file.  You can download the whole pdf file to see them.   You should always review your return before you file.

@DawnC Appreciate very much for the quick response and confirmation. One thing in my mind was that the state tax withhold was against my LLC's tax-ID (as an investment via my LLC, which is a passing-through entity), and when I report it in my personal return (using my social), I hope they will find a way to reconcile the two tax ID's.
Thanks for posting the differences VolvoGirl.  That was really helpful since I've never dealt with the online versions.  Not getting to see the forms before I pay and file is a BIG problem.

@jbgarlan wrote: I did e file for my friend's state taxes, one for California and another for Arizona. I paid $25 for each state. How come I was still charged for another $48.45 for Arizona State filing? Does this explain it? It sounds like you used desktop software.   If your desktop product included 1 state program, then there is another $45 to download a second state program.   Then there is a $25 state efile fee for each state return (except no state efile fee for NY).
You got 1 free state PROGRAM download, probably California.  Then you had to buy the second other state program Arizona for $45.   Then each state efile (including the first one) is $25 to efile or y... See more...

Thanks for the reply xmasbaby0. I didn't separate my thoughts very clearly. When I mentioned the iPad, I was actually referring to preparing and filing using Turbo Tax Online version.  I was just curious if that can be done.  I am aware the desktop version is only for PC/laptop/MAC, but thanks for posting that for clarification.

Per title, I got a significate different refund from Oregon State compare to what TurboTax calculated. They indicated my form - OR 40 line 32 is not what is on my W2 line 17. I call TurboTax and one of the Product Expert helped me out and did see the W2 has the correct amount, but somewhere down the line, the form OR 40 was reporting a different amount.   Is this a known software issue?
I did e file for my friend's state taxes, one for California and another for Arizona. I paid $25 for each state. How come I was still charged for another $48.45 for Arizona State filing?
