Your reply make sense to me, but you don't say what "worksheet feeds f4562", or what "f4562" is. I can't find a decent "search forms" or just plain search in this new 2025 version. But complaints aside what Form (on the list) is "f4562" on so I can see if an override is possible. The CD versions of Turbo Tax always "offered" the use of Section 179, which I've used in years past. On other comment: prior year Turbo Tax versions also didn't ask the qualifying questions, the most unusual being a cap of $10,000 on GROSS INCOME. Hmmm... that would disqualify a huge swath of tax payers.

I accidentally entered in a 1099-NEC twice. How do I remove an entry? I see where to add another self-emplyed income, not remove.

@abhi1024 , need a whole bunch of info to truly understand the situation you are describing.
(a) When did you enter the US and with which visa ? Exact dates please .
(b) How many days did you spend during 2022, 2023 and 204 ( before entering with the new visa ) ? Or was this an adjustment of status in 2024. What I need to understand is whether you are a Resident or Non-Resident for the Tax year 2024.
(c) Are you an employee of an US entity or as a visiting / temporary visit employee of an Indian entity ?
(d) Did you employer issue a W-2 ? Did the employer withhold FIC A/Federal/State Taxes ?
In your answer , please provide as much detail as you can so one can understand the situation in totality.

Filing taxes in community property states (Arizona, California, Idaho, Louisiana, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas, Washington, Wisconsin) as Married Filing Separately (MFS) can be complicated.
Certain states have laws about community property defining how they expect MFS couples to share, or allocate, income. TurboTax has allocation screens and a worksheet to assist you in entering any adjustments your community property state may require when filing separately. For more information, please review this TurboTax FAQ.

Farm Income Averaging (including elected farm income) is found on Schedule J in your tax return.
If you need to find that topic in TurboTax, search for "schedule j."

If you have two TurboTax Online accounts, you have to pay separately for each account. When you have to file multiple tax returns, it's usually less expensive to use the desktop TurboTax software. You pay for the software once and you can use it for multiple returns. There is an additional charge for each state e-file, but it still usually works out to be less expensive.

As the subject states, our tenant was failing at the upkeep in lawn care in our residential rental property. He asked if we were willing to replace our grass in both the front and backyard with artificial turf, which we agreed to. Is that considered a tax deduction? If so, would it be considered an asset? Appreciate the advice. Thank you.

You will need to enter it to claim tax credits. If you can't locate it, file an extension. You’ll need to search through your personal records to find your SSN or request a new Social Security card.
If you have a copy of a tax return where you claimed your son as a dependent, the SSN may be listed there. Check school and doctor records too. If you can't locate either of those, you can contact the Social Security Administration (SSA) to request a replacement card or verification of the SSN.
