Unfortunately, once you have upgraded or added features to your TurboTax return, there is no way to downgrade or remove the extra features. You would need to create a new return to go back to the original product.    To start a new return, select “Start a New Return” from under “My Returns” in the bottom left corner. Once you have started your new return, you can select “View All Returns” from under “My Returns”. Then delete the unwanted return by clicking the small Trash Can next to it or “Delete” under the return’s name.   Please see this TurboTax FAQ for more information on who can use Free: Who can file for free using TurboTax?

You can enter your Canadian Training Credit Limit in the Student section of your return. That's where you can claim the credit too, if you are eligible.

If your business is no longer trying to earn income, it is closed so no more expenses can be taken after that date (unless the expenses are a direct result for when the business was open).  Just because your registration has not expired does not mean your business is still 'open' and trying to earn income.

If you are self-employed, you will still owe self-employment tax (Social Security and Medicare tax).   If have any income that does not fall under the exclusion, that will likely result in income tax.   As for your actual question, I'm not sure how TurboTax is set up.  Logically, you should enter it on Schedule C then as a second step in the foreign exclusion section indicate that is the amount that is eligible to be excluded.  But I am not certain how TurboTax is set up.

I talked to Turbotax support.   They had me remove the contents of box 21 (foreign income) and then move the total value of box 52 and 54 into box 53 in the very bottom right of the "other boxes" screen, and that resolved the issue.
If you are still not able to resolve this issue, please contact our phone support team for more assistance.
Did you add something like Assist & Review? Or enter something in your return that required you to upgrade?

If you entered incorrect banking information for your refund, you can change it if your return is rejected.  If it is accepted, however, it is too late to change it.  The bank will reject the refund and send it back to the IRS.  Then the IRS will issue a paper check and mail it to the address you put on your tax return.  Expect a delay of at least a couple of weeks to receive your refund. Here is what the IRS says about entering incorrect banking information https://www.irs.gov/help-resources/tools-faqs/faqs-for-individuals/frequently-asked-tax-questions-answers/irs-procedures/refund-inquiries/refund-inquiries-18       If your refund is sent back to the IRS—- make certain that the address you entered on your Form 1040 is correct.  And…open all mail, even if it looks like junk mail.               REFUND PROCESSING FEE     If you chose to have your fees deducted from your federal refund, but entered wrong or closed bank account information for your direct deposit, you are going to have an aggravating, frustrating situation.  Your refund will go back to the third party bank. The third party bank might issue and mail you a check, or they might send your refund back to the IRS and then you will have to wait for the IRS to mail you a check.     If the third party bank mails the check, it will come in a plain envelope via first class mail so make sure you open all mail and do not assume anything is junk mail without opening it.  While you are waiting, make sure that the address you entered on your tax return is correct, or your problem will be even worse.   When you choose “refund processing” your refund goes FIRST  from the IRS to the third party bank.  Then the bank takes your fees out of your refund and sends the rest of the refund to you.     What is Refund Processing Service?         Santa Barbara Tax Products Group, LLC  (SBTPG) is the bank that handles the Refund Processing Service when you choose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your refund. This option also has an additional charge from the bank that processes the transaction.    You can contact them SBTPG, toll-free, at 1-877-908-7228 or go to their secure website www.sbtpg.com

Once a tax return has been filed and accepted by the IRS the method of receiving the tax refund cannot be changed.  Sine the bank account for the direct deposit of the federal tax refund is closed the bank will reject the deposit.  The refund is sent back to the IRS where they will then mail a refund check to the address on the tax return.

There is a Notice on the CRA's website, regarding the availability of tax slips in My Account, Represent a Client, or through the Auto-fill my return service.  Availability of tax information Some 2024 tax slips are not yet available in My Account, Represent a Client, or through the Auto-fill my return service. We recommend using the slip provided by the issuer (e.g., your financial institution or employer) until the slips are available.
This TurboTax FAQ tells you how you can do that using ReFile: I've filed my tax return. Can I still make changes?
