I am guessing it will take time to show online, as I know they'll be calculating some interest. Does anyone know if a 6 month extension can be modified into a 12 month plan? I owed an unexpectedly large amount this year (long story), and would like to give myself the extra 6 months to pay it down. I have never owed back taxes before so I have always been in good standing with the Federal IRS.

If you do not have your W-2 in hand, TurboTax will not be able to download it into your tax return for you.  You need to have certain information from the actual W-2 in order to download it to your return.     There is not a tool within TurboTax to allow you to search for W-2s to find one that you are missing.     Take a look at the following TurboTax article to learn more about your options:   What To Do If You Haven't Received a W-2

I live in the city of Springfield, OH however work in Union city. I did not realize until doing my taxes that Amazon is only taking out my worked-in city taxes and not my live-in city taxes. I am not being told that I owe over $1000+. When I fill out the city taxe sheet to have them take out live-in city tax, they told me hat cannot do that and i would have to go to my local agency. My local agency says they dont have to but they can and to go back to work and be persistent on submitted my city tax form. I dont want tot have to owe every year. What should I do?

Hi,   I am currently a US permanent resident and have been for 20+ years. I have had a 401k for some years. If I give up my residency and move back to my home country, do I have to withdraw the 401k? Or can I leave it in the US although I'm no longer a resident and ineligible to work in the US - would there be any penalties if I still waited until I was 60 years old, but lived in the United Kingdom while withdrawing the 401k from the US? I'm trying to decide if it's still worth contributing now.
C'est maintenant correct. Les montants se transfèrent normalement au formulaire T936.  Merci!
