My 2024 California tax return is not adding Intangible Drilling Costs as taxable amount reported on schedule K-1. Even the amended tax return has same issue, in spite of help from the turbo tax support representative. Could you confirm if Turbo tax online premier software does not support 2024 California law disallowing deduction for Intangible Drilling Costs (IDSC)? If yes, what is the solution?

This generally happens if they did not receive your W2's from your employers or they received more W2's that you reported. They do this to avoid fraud. As long as the W2's you used to file your return are legit, you will be fine. Send them copies of your W2's and your year end paystub, if you have it, to them.

When you submitted your return, did you receive a NETFILE confirmation number from CRA? This number is issued by NETFILE system and CRA should be able to locate your return on their side with it.   Make sure you have received this number that confirms the process has been completed.   When you file electronically, the CRA service standard is to issue your notice of assessment within 2 weeks of receiving your return and any required supporting documents.   Thank you for choosing TurboTax.

It depends on whether you are a professional administrator or not.   If you are considered a professional administrator then those fees are self-employed income. If not, this payment would be considered Other Taxable Income. You can enter this under Wages & Income >> Less Common Income >> Miscellaneous Income >> Other Taxable Income. Or search for "other taxable income" and click the 'jump to' link.   Please see this excellent Community answer by Champ maglib for more information.

If you answer No on the page that says less than $3K, the next screen shows Claim of Right repayment over $3K.   However, neither of those screens will get you a deduction unless you are itemizing your deductions.      If you don't itemize, you take the standard deduction, your only option is to take the credit.   See the instructions for Taking the Credit in TurboTax Desktop if you don't itemize and want the credit.   It is a two step process, but can be done easily with the desktop software.
