Re-enter the state side info on the same screen to match the federal side. Lousy software, it should highlight the specific field that is off or contains a hidden character.

Thanks for clarifying Dave F, I understand now. TT is doing the calculations and picks the best deduction (itemized or standard). Understandable that there was not a lot of time to do the programming but it would be more transparent if TT would show the standard vs itemized steps as it does for the federal. This would show the tax change in Maryland made in December for what it clearly is: A subtle tax increase to those with FAGI over $200K.  All while the govenor stated that there was no tax increase in an election year. Peace. Tim
Hi, I paid $1100 with my 2024 extension, and TT is showing that as a credit on my 2025 return... how do I remove it?   Thanks   Tom
I don't need this form and want to remove it from my filing. This form is unnecessary and is causing me to have to upgrade to Deluxe.

Column A has value 525 and column B and C are both 0.  This is how it is printed on the form I received.  I am unable to proceed.

No, if your tax return was rejected, TurboTax doesn't charge to make the correction and resubmit.  However, if when you went back to your return you had to add additional forms or upgraded to a different version there might be a price increase.     If you are getting charged to resubmit, you can contact our customer service: What's the TurboTax phone number? Can I get the e-filing fee refunded if my state return got rejected?

While the response was helpful in my belief that I was correct, I still called the NC department of revenue to ensure that I would not have a penalty for misstating my income.  The NC DOR tax advisor did confirm that being a 100% Total and Permanently disabled Veteran did qualify as an exception to reporting the Student Loan Deference as income.   Thanks to the community for the response!
