No, if the only error is that you didn't include federal estimated taxes paid, you do not have to amend the state return. Wait for your Federal return to be completely processed. The IRS may recognize that the taxes were paid.
Login to TurboTax
Select Tax Home from the left sidebar.
Scroll down to Your tax returns & documents and
Select the year you want to amend.
Click on the Amend (change) return dropdown,
Then Amend using TurboTax Online.
Continue the interview, make the changes you need, and answer the rest of the questions to finish changing your return.
An amended return can make a change to a tax filing that has already been accepted. You should follow these guidelines.
You must first wait until the initial return is completely processed.
You will have to use the same TurboTax account that you used for the original tax return.
Once you begin your amendment, you'll see your original return.
The refund calculator will start at $0 and only reflect the changes in the refund or tax due
Only make changes to the areas of your return that need to be corrected.
You have three years from the date you filed your return or two years after you paid the tax due (whichever is later) to file an amendment

Thanks. I already used different e-mail and phone number. I tried 3 different e-mail but it still did not work. Is it because of I am in outside the US maybe?

The most common problem is: If you are creating a new online account, you will have to use a different E-mail address.

@estephenkim it only applies when you file a non-resident tax return. When you file two part year returns, each state "stands on its own". You report the income earned in the respective state and the tax is calculated independently of the other. This occurs when you physically move your residence from one state to the other. When you file a non-resident and resident tax return, there is dependency. You only report the income you earned in the non-resident state to that state, but you report ALL the income you earned to the resident state. That creates an overlap since the non-resident income is reported to both states. That is what creates the credit. The resident state calculates a credit for income tax paid to the non-resident state. This occurs when you live in one state, but work in another.

If you want to change to Head of Household it will be from what you post in the section My Info.
The Head of Household designation is very specific, and is determined when you enter the My Info section of your return.
Go to My Info on the left sidebar
Click [Edit] next to your name.
On the "Let's confirm your marital status" screen, select you are considered unmarried.
Add your child or qualifying person in the dependents section.
Continue through the interview until asked if you paid more than half the cost to keep up your home, and answer [Yes.]
TurboTax will update your status to Head of Household if you meet the criteria.
Key Requirements:
You were unmarried on December 31st.
You must have paid more than half of the dependents expenses.
You must have a qualifying dependent (usually a child) who has lived with you for more than half the year

@neicablackmon405 wrote: "Hey! Good morning how do I retrieve my Ip Pin back ? I lost it and don’t remember it. Please help" If you are supposed to use a 6-digit IP PIN (Identity Protection PIN) from the IRS and have lost your new IP PIN for calendar year 2026, see this IRS article at the link below on how to retrieve your 2026 IP PIN (the old IP PIN from last year won't work.) The fastest option is to use an online IRS account where it is shown in the Profile section there. Or there is an option to have it reissued by mail (but that takes 21 days) if the IRS can verify you over the phone, and if you meet the criteria for that method. See the article below for more details. IRS: Retrieve Your IP PIN https://www.irs.gov/identity-theft-fraud-scams/retrieve-your-ip-pin When entering into TurboTax, here's the navigation: Federal > Other Tax Situations > Other Return Info > Identity Protection PIN

I have a 1099-DIV that lists 15 countries as sources, and some RICs to boot. The form was imported from the brokerage and line 8 says "Various". Is it possible to apportion the income to these 15 countries (and RIC) in EasyStep in TurboTax Premier? Or do I have to do some gymnastics in Forms? If the latter, then what is the procedure to do that?

@ jorajendran wrote: refund hasnt arrived as promised by turbotax and I need to get refund from the services of turbotax I was promised that I will get refund by April4th and it is has been a while and I dont get any updates from Turbo Tax. it was promised when I paid for the service that I will get refund 4 days earlier than the IRS refund date TurboTax can't promise a definite refund date, since only the IRS determines when they actually send the funds, plus bank processing times vary. After you filed, if you received an estimated date from TurboTax, that is based on the common IRS 21-day processing time for most returns that are efiled and when direct deposit is chosen. Has the IRS actually sent your funds? What do you see at the IRS refund tracker tool? Is there any message? https://www.irs.gov/refunds If you chose the "Up to 5 days" early refund offer, that kicks in when the IRS is ready to release your funds. TurboTax says if you don't get your Federal refund at least 1 day earlier than you would have if you had received it directly from the IRS, then they won't charge you the $35 fee for that service. Or if you chose to get your refund in a Credit Karma Money account there's no fee for that service anyway with the Credit Karma option.

@ risingsunadvertisingart wrote: My problem is that I am traveling abroad for business. I can only receive text and email, so TurboTax support, could you please contact me via my email or text me at the number under my order number? TurboTax Support does not use text or email for support, but there's another option. If you use social media, you can communicate with TurboTax Support by direct messaging a TurboTax Support agent at Facebook or X. https://x.com/TeamTurboTax or https://www.facebook.com/turbotax

If you have started the process of efiling, and it's trying to email you a 6-digit email verification code that you're not receiving, check your email's spam/junk folder to see if the code is ending up there. If that's not the problem, you can go to your settings in your Intuit Account and may be able to verify your email address there if it's not verified. Or you can change the email address if desired (using the steps below.) Here's how: In the left menu column scroll way down to Intuit Account. Then once in the account choose tab Sign In & Security. See if your email address has a tiny link beside it that says "not verified". If so, click that to verify. Perhaps once you verify it there in the account settings, it won't ask you to verify it again when you are efiling. Or you can change the notifications email address, if desired. If you do, also verify it while you are in the account settings. If after all that, you still can't resolve your issue, here's how to reach TurboTax Support 5AM-9PM Pacific, 7 days/week. FAQ: Contact TurboTax Support https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/contact/ If you use Free Edition and don't have phone support, another way to reach them if you have social media is to direct message a Support agent: https://x.com/TeamTurboTax or https://www.facebook.com/turbotax

Is there any message at the IRS refund tracker tool, stating how much they sent? https://www.irs.gov/refunds Here are some possibilities when the amount is less than expected: Can that difference of approximately $167 be explained by any product fees? For instance, did you choose to pay any product fees out of your Federal refund? If so, that method also has an extra $40 service fee ($45 for California filers.) Or could the difference be explained by a state refund you have not yet received? The state refund comes separately. If the IRS lowered your refund amount, they should send a letter in about 3 weeks explaining why.

I provided the shortcut method above to go directly to the section for estimated tax payments made for 2025 in Online TurboTax. If you want to use regular navigation, here's how. So between the 2 methods, you should be able to use one or both of them. When you click in the left column on the Federal tab then subtab Deductions & Credits and in the dropdown choose the Deductions & Credits Summary, it may take you to a page called "Your Tax Breaks". That shows the "Tax Breaks", i.e., deductions, that someone has already worked on this year or that TurboTax is expecting from what was entered last year. Lower on that same screen should be a button or link for "Add more tax breaks" or "Show more tax breaks" or similar wording. When clicked, then the screen should expand, and all the deduction topics are displayed including "Estimates and Other Taxes Paid." Then that topic can be expanded further to get the subtopic Estimated Tax Payments.

For Online TurboTax, here's a tool that should get you directly to the section for estimated tax payments made for 2025. I've also provided an alternate navigation method in a comment that follows this one. With the return open, go to the left menu column and click on TAX TOOLS, then the subtab TOOLS. In the Tools Center choose the blue button Topic Search. In the topic search line enter the phrase estimated tax payments without quotes. Make the selection in the list (it may already be highlighted), and either double-click it or click the GO button. Next screen is Estimates and Other Income Taxes Paid. Use the subtopic Estimated Tax Payments. Choose the appropriate category and tax year you are reporting (Federal, state, local) and click START or Revisit. NOTE: Before filing, make sure your Federal estimated tax payments correctly show on the Form 1040, Line 26, and that any state estimated tax payments (if applicable) show up on your state return.

This year some stores such as Best Buy, Sams Club, and some others are selling both desktop and online TurboTax licenses. Since you said "download", I will assume you purchased a desktop software license and want to install it on your computer. If you have already bought your license code for your 2025 Premier desktop product (as opposed to an online version), here's how to download, install, and activate the desktop software.
