Is Past midnight so April 16 this is not cool at all. The Program is up to date, I tried 2 different computers, are the servers overwealmed or what is the problem I transmitted 4 Returns for family members Yesterday with no issue I'm mainly a Windows person--Mac, not so much. Something in your Internet chain could also create a same problem on 2 computers. If you're using a VPN, try without. If you're using wireless, try a wired connection. Try rebooting all devices in your Internet system--modem, router, computer. If it doesn't transmit in several minutes, it's not likely to do so. There's no need to wait 4 hours. Are you using any unusual router/firewall device?

I've used Turbotax for many years. This is the first time I almost didn't efile. It wasn't an obvious step. If this was my first time efiling, I would have missed it completely.

@ IndoKid wrote: I need to file my 2020 & 2021 tax but i'm not sure which turbotax i need to purchase? And also which turbotax do I need to file 1099? Really appreciate your help. Tax years 2020 and 2021 are no longer supported by TurboTax. You can check to see if any TurboTax competitors can still prepare them. Or you can download forms for 2020 and 2021 from the IRS and state websites and prepare manually. Or you can hire a tax professional to prepare them. I don't know the context for your question about "1099." Does that mean you need to prepare a 1099 form to give someone else, or do you have a 1099 that you need to report as your income? There are several types of 1099 forms, and again, it depends on the tax year.

Since I was late filing the extension on the last day, I first tried using Free File Fillable Forms to submit the extension, but after waiting for a few hours, it was still pending. So I also tried IRS Direct Pay to submit the extension again. Will this cause any issues with my case? How should I resolve it? Both extension submissions are still showing as pending.

Same happened to me filing in 2026. Attempted to file jointly with my wife under her username. When we got to the end the process got messed up (computer glitch). We weren't sure if it went through so I decided to attempt it under my username. When we got to end and purchase it for $275, TurboTax said there was a duplicate tax return with my SSN on it. Luckily that meant the other form went through. When we asked for a refund because it double billed us I was told that there was nothing they could do and would not refund me. TurboTax has truly let us down. We will not be using this service next year as they completely failed customer service. We filed once, was billed twice, and told it's our fault.

Did you use TurboTax? How do I view, download, or print a prior-year tax return?

There's no rush to file an Amendment. It takes up to 16 weeks to process and doesn't 'catch up' and correct your original filing.

You can e-file your extension through our Easy Extension website. An extension does not give you extra time to pay your taxes, which are due on April 15, 2026. Even if you can't pay your taxes by the deadline, file an extension anyway so you can avoid the late-filing penalty.

Yes, if it's a traditional IRA, its all taxable. It doesn't matter if you take it out monthly, quarterly, one lump sum, or haphazardly. It's all treated the same, and it's all taxable.
