Estimated payments are extra payments that you made above your withholdings. You make estimated tax payments on the IRS website or mail them in. You need to show proof of each payment made to the IRS. Your bank accounts should show the payments made to the IRS (or state department asking for them). If you have a business, you may have made payments under your business name. Mike above is correct, you should have records of whatever extra payments you made to the IRS.
Virginia piggy-backs with the Federal tax form 1040. The pension income shows up on my 1040. Is it taxable in Virginia?
PROBLEM IS IN THE SUBJECT LINE. My TurboTax 2025 does not recognize the 2024 Turbo tax return file. Mac Tahoe 26.2. Used same TT software. Same hard drive.

Thanks for the reply. I just did updated my TurboTax desktop software so that my reply would be based on current software. I see no change in my problem. I also went to the due date link you attached, and found that Schedule SB is ready for efile now. So it should have the 2025 SB change I need implemented.    In answer to your question I have no entries on Lines 12 thru 15, and no reason to have those entries. I had already read those rules before submitting my initial question. And I am not trying to print it, will efile. So, two questions please .. 1. Is there anyway  to submit a written question to TurboTax to ask if they've done this new 2025 Wisconsin tax programming? I'm shocked that they don't have any obvious way to submit an apparent "bug" so they can correct it quickly. 2. This is a very large deduction, so I don't want to miss it if TurboTax is no help. Is it permissible/possible to enter the $48,000 directly onto Schedule SB myself, and take responsibility for it?   Thanks again
I answered something wrong and it changed my filing status as single but I should have filed HOH.
You can create your own w2s at Easily create, e-file, & print W-2s & 1099s. To import a w2, choose to import or type it in yourself.

If you enter the amount shown on your W-2 in TurboTax 2023, do you get the Uncommon Situations screen, where you can choose type of income?  If so, TurboTax will automatically subtract the income for you.    Remember the IRS has a copy of your W-2, so it's best to enter as is and then designate it as non-taxable income later in the return.    If this path does not appear for you in 2023, go to the "Wages & Income" section, find "Less Common Income," then "Other income not already reported," and follow prompts about Medicaid waiver payments.    You definitely don't want to use a negative number in your W-2 entry for Box 1.   @elenarizzo    [Edited 1/16/2026 | 2:56 pm]
If I accidentally pressed a wrong answer for my child on dependent, how can I go back and fix it because it’s saying she won’t qualify.

Ok thanks if you think the override of 7 and 3 on the online software may reach the IRS and trigger anything I probably don't want to do it.  I guess when I file electronically with TurboTax they wouldnt just send a filled in 1040 where I can't find 3 and 7 on my 2024 return they would be sending some report of all that I claimed was on the W-2.  I don't know how the downloaded version forms option works but I'd only be overriding the number in schedule 1-A and turbotax would have to recalculate my taxes after I do so resulting in the correct 1040 I want.  If there is a report of what I said was on the W-2 in this case it would still be correct, the only change would be that 7 is not in 1-A.   If there is no report of all I claimed was on the W-2 and the IRS is reading the discrepancy precisely on 1-A, part II, 4a (which does say from box 7) then they're still reading a discrepancy any way I file, either version of TurboTax or non-TurboTax.  It makes a tax difference if you add tips that were wages or tips you didn't report but didn't claim as unreported so I can see them questioning that.  I have documentation especially with 14 and other sources but I'd rather avoid any triggers.   My employer indicated they would change the W-2.  I would almost assume if they were eligible for any credit for box 7 they would have already added everything there but I don't know.  I just told them to wait a couple weeks to see if TurboTax changes their software.  If the increase year to year in 7 like you said won't raise eyebrows because it should be relatively common this year without an increase in gross that sounds like my best option.

If you are trying to print w2 forms through QuickBooks and getting the wrong form, see Easily File 1099-NEC or W-2 Forms: Quick Employer Forms (QEF).  If you are trying to file a tax return with your 2025 W2, you will need to use 2025 software. If you are using the desktop, you will need an updated version.  See desktop options.  Online, the version will be 2025.
