I was in the process of filling out info and hadn’t completed filing when some innocuous box was checked and I was charged $84.21 for a product I will not use right now.

If the email with the 6-digit code is not going to your spam/junk folder, here's something else to try:   You can go to your settings in your Intuit Account and may be able to verify your email address there if it's not verified.  Or you can correct/change the email address if desired (using the steps below.)     Here's how: In the left menu column scroll way down to Intuit Account. Then once in the account choose tab Sign In & Security. See if your email address has a tiny link beside it that says "not verified".  If so, click that to verify. Perhaps once you verify it there in the account settings, it won't ask you to verify it again when you are efiling. Or you can change that notifications email address, if desired.  If you do, also verify it while you are in the account settings.   If after all that, you still can't resolve your issue, here's how to reach TurboTax Support 5AM-9PM Pacific.   FAQ: What is the TurboTax phone number? https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/using-turbotax/help/what-is-the-turbotax-phone-number/00/25632   If you use Free Edition and don't have phone support, another way to reach them if you have social media is to direct message a Support agent: https://x.com/TeamTurboTax or https://www.facebook.com/turbotax

Thanks for this response.  I realized it was more than just the personal info that was missing; the entire 1040-X column A (original entries) and column B (calculated changes) were blank.  Somehow TurboTax was offering me the chance to do an amended return without knowing what return I was amending or who I was (i.e. without specifying which return I was amending).  Not sure how I got it to behave that way.  I ended up starting it all over again from scratch and finally it worked as expected.  It must have been user error on my part, but it certainly behaved like a software bug.     Things were weird for a while there but I got things working again.     Thanks.

@TJKMCrow  Did you file your 2024 return with Online TurboTax?  If you are in the same account, it should have transferred in automatically, and should be at the Tax Home in the section "Your Tax Returns & Documents."     Otherwise, we can tell you how to find the 2024 return if it's not in the current account you are using.   Or if you have an online IRS account, the 2024 AGI is displayed on one of the pages there.   First see this FAQ and video   FAQ: How do I find last year's AGI? https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/internal-revenue-service/find-last-year-agi/L0SiDtTNI_US_en_US
So you just kept resending with the 3 month payment plan and it finally went through? I’m having the same issue as well and mine keep getting rejected…
Everything is relative.
Did you get anywhere with this? I am having the same issue. I NEED form 1116. Ridiculous. I am using web so I think it's even worse. I don't have a form view. I think I will switch to better software... See more...

It may or may not mean anything is wrong with the return.   Sometimes it's just for ID verification purposes to be sure it was you that filed the return.    Sometimes returns are pulled at random for more review.      You'll have to ask the IRS.  They are nice and glad to help.  They may or may not be able to give any information. Sometimes they are hard to reach.  I usually try around 7:30 AM or 6;50 PM.  If you call at that late time, and if you're still in the queue when they close, they should still take your call.  It's also best later in the week like today.  If a robot answers, I usually say something like "account management" or "speak to an agent about my account."  You may have to say it more than once.
I did NOT pay any local estimated taxes, & did NOT live in any of the listed areas. How do I get past that area on my return?

I know that the Government is trying to phase out paper checks, so if you asked to have a paper check mailed to you it will take longer to receive your refund. According to the information I read, if you request a paper check, the IRS will send you instructions for entering your account information online so they can do a direct deposit. If you don't respond for six weeks (at least that's what I think the wait period is), then they will issue a paper check.  The IRS website (irs.gov) says that electronic refunds are typically issued fewer than 21 days, and refunds by mail can take six weeks or longer.
2nd part after that rejection I contacted Live Support & after thorough review it was advised to submit with an alternate payment option ( which I did make ). How do I confirm my CC was not charged?
How can i get it taken off my account and pay the $40

But I don’t understand why after five years of me following on my own all of a sudden I get a review I didn’t do anything wrong

@Amhicks12580  Only the IRS can know what is going on with your return.   Have you gotten any letters/notices from the IRS that required you to take further steps?    If you have an online IRS account, you could look to see if there are copies of any letters/notices that you didn't receive.   What is currently showing at the IRS "Where's My Refund" tracker tool?  Is there any message? https://www.irs.gov/refunds   Otherwise, you'll need to phone the IRS to see if they can tell you anything about the delay.   IRS: 800-829-1040 (7AM-7 PM local time) Monday-Friday   If you're having an economic hardship, you can see if the IRS Taxpayer Advocate Service will help.   Select your state here to get the phone number of the IRS Taxpayer Advocate Office in your area: https://www.taxpayeradvocate.irs.gov/contact-us/#FindlocalTAS   For more info about the IRS Taxpayer Advocate Service: https://www.irs.gov/taxtopics/tc104 and https://www.irs.gov/taxpayer-advocate
