Once your return is filed, TurboTax has no control over the processing or the timing when the IRS/State releases your refund.    The IRS states that most federal tax refunds are issued within 21 days of acceptance, however, some may take longer if they require additional review. Also, by law, the IRS cannot issue EITC or ACTC refunds before mid-February. This applies to your entire refund, not just the portion related to those specific credits.   Here are a few FAQs to help you track your refund: When will I get my federal tax refund? How do I track my state refund? Why does Where's My Refund say "approved" but TurboTax still says "accepted"? Why do some refunds take longer than others? What if my IRS refund is taking longer than 21 days?

That reject means:   Taxpayer's (or spouse's) Identifying Information is missing. In order to electronically file your return, Prior Year Identifying Information must be entered for the taxpayer (and for the spouse if applicable). Open your tax file and go to File. Proceed to the screen, "Review Your Federal Filing Choices". Review your Identifying Information (AGI). If you filed a prior year return, you must enter the Prior Year AGI for the Taxpayer (and Spouse if applicable). Do not use the tabs at the top of the screen to exit this interview. Once you have made the necessary corrections, you may resubmit this return for electronic filing. If the reject continues, you may need to print and file this return by mail.

In the TurboTax iOS app, there's no specific feature to directly view the status of your filed extension. However, you can check your overall tax return progress and payment confirmation there. To verify your extension status, it is common to review your record of account transcripts on the IRS website or wait for the IRS updates to appear in your TurboTax account. Extension acceptance messages in TurboTax generally indicate submission success, but IRS processing may take time to reflect in all records. Keep an eye on your TurboTax account dashboard and your email for any updates or notifications regarding your extension and payment status.

Yes, you can make any changes at all to your return since it has been rejected.  Take a close look at the information that was shared with the rejection to be sure you are correcting the issue that caused the rejection.     If your return has rejected due to claiming the Child and Dependent Care Credit, the problem could be related to the child receiving the child care instead of the day care facility itself.

You didn't mention the particular state, but here's some information about state refunds in general and how to check on yours.      First, you need to be sure your state return was successfully filed.   If you efiled, be sure your efiled state return was accepted.  If you used Online TurboTax, you can check by looking at the Tax Home in your Online account.   Or did you choose to file by mail instead?  TurboTax does not mail it for you.  If you chose that method, you have to print, sign, date, and mail it.   The FAQ below tells how to check on a state refund.   When you scroll down further there, you will see a link for your state to get to its refund lookup tool.   Some state revenue department websites have a FAQ section or info on their refund lookup page that tells about how long it takes in that particular state.   FAQ:  How do I track my state refund? https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/track-state-refund/L3jgO8PGs_...   After checking all of the above, if your processing is taking longer than the usual time frame for your state, you can phone your state department of revenue's customer service to see if they can tell you the reason for the delay.   FAQ:  How do I contact my state's department of revenue? https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/state-taxes/contact-state-department-revenue/L9qVToi02_US_en_US

The state return gets information from the Federal return.  So if the EIN is correct in the Federal section, then it should also be correct in the state.     If there is a place on the state return that you see it is not correct, then you can try to delete the state return and go through it again.  That will pull all the Federal information back to the state.
You received an email from TurboTax describing why the tax return was rejected.  What does it say?
