Your refund may have been offset. The IRS and state governments can intercept refunds to pay for certain past-due debts (such as back taxes, child support, or student loans).
How to check for an offset:
The IRS Hotline: Call (800) 304-3107 for automated details regarding tax offsets.
Official Notice: You will typically receive a letter in the mail explaining the specific debt and the amount withheld.
If you used "Pay with Refund":
If the IRS "Where’s My Refund" tool shows your funds were released but you haven't received them, please note that Intuit does not hold these funds. You will need to contact the Santa Barbara Tax Products Group (SBTPG) directly:

Once your return is filed, TurboTax has no control over the processing or the timing when the IRS releases your refund.
The IRS Where's My Refund site will not take into account the 5 days early, but if you signed up for the 5 Day Early product, you should receive your refund deposited 5 days prior to the date indicated by the IRS, assuming all conditions are met.
For more information click on the link below
5 Days Early Option
If you don't get your deposit 5 days early, there is a few reasons why that might happen.
Your refund was offset or differed from their estimated refund amount, bringing the refund amount below the minimum threshold or above the maximum. What is a refund offset?
Your bank wouldn't accept RTP (Real Time Payments) or Same Day ACH deposits, preventing Intuit from depositing your refund 5 days ahead of when the IRS would have deposited your refund.
The IRS didn't give Intuit 5 or more days of notice in advance. This stopped Intuit from meeting the 5 days early expectations.
If TurboTax is unable to deliver the refund 5 days early, your order will be canceled and you won't be charged the 5-Day Early fee. You will receive a follow-up email with a refund and timing update, and if any cancellation is applicable.

Your refund could be offset. The IRS and State Governments have the ability to offset a refund to pay for certain past due debts. You generally will receive a letter stating what the offset was for. The IRS provides a toll-free number, (800) 304-3107, to call for information about tax offsets.
Here are a few FAQs to help you track your refund: When will I get my federal tax refund? How do I track my state refund? Why does Where's My Refund say "approved" but TurboTax still says "accepted"?
Why do some refunds take longer than others?
What if my IRS refund is taking longer than 21 days?

Once your return is filed, TurboTax has no control over the processing or the timing when the IRS releases your refund.
The IRS states that most federal tax refunds are issued within 21 days of acceptance, however, some may take longer if they require additional review. Also, by law, the IRS cannot issue EITC or ACTC refunds before mid-February. This applies to your entire refund, not just the portion related to those specific credits.

It looks like the latest update took care of the last month rule, but there are still errors in the HSA module. Specifically, it is not pulling my name AND it has given me a spouse. The selections I make for 2024 HSA participation and those of my imaginary spouse will not save. Any idea when these items will be addressed or how I report this? Thank you.

Yes, I noticed that too; however, the update yesterday corrected it. When I went back to look at the 5695 later, line 29a and the credit were calculating correctly.

Credit shelter trusts are not generally grantor trusts but could be if the grantor, under IRC §673, retains a reversionary interest (by the terms of the trust - unusual but not impossible). Also, no offense but you need to pay attention to the dates of these posts. This original post is over 3 years old and, as sometimes happens, the initial post gets edited by the person who posted it subsequent to answers being posted. There's really no way to prevent board members from editing their posts and deleting or adding text (although there should be).
