First of all, today isn't over yet. If the IRS says they will deposit your refund today, it doesn't mean they will do it first thing in the morning. Secondly, the amount of time that it takes for a bank to post a deposit to your account varies. They do not necessarily post a deposit the instant that they receive it. Even if the bank gets the deposit from the IRS sometime today, it might not appear in your account until tomorrow, or even later. Different banks take different amounts of time to process deposits.   The information in "Where's My Refund?" on the IRS web site is updated only once a day, overnight. Whatever it says this morning, it's going to say the same thing all day. There is no point in checking it more than once a day. Did you use the option to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your refund? If so, it does not go directly from the IRS to your bank. It has to go through an intermediary bank that deducts the fees and sends the remainder to your bank. That process takes extra days.
This is a confusing situation. Who had title to the house? Who were the members of the LLC?

James,   In my Description of Amount in Box 3 on my Social Security form it states $5863.00 Paid in 2025 for 2024. That is what I entered in Lump Sum distribution. Turbo Tax made what ever adjustment you do in the computer program and came up with the amount of $5131. 00 . When I get to the Federal Review I get a message saying that figure can not be more than a figure about $4361 because it can't be more than 85% of what my Social Security was last year. The problem with that is due to Windfall Elimination my monthly cash payment was less than half of what I receive now. I know someone who does taxes who told me they do not put a ceiling on the amount, because the lump sum payment is whatever it is. So, why do you? What do I do now?

While the Mac should have the option, I believe you so let's go a different route. Switch over to Forms mode and find form 4137 to enter the data directly. Then go back to step by step and go through the w2 again. This should get your program to sync up and allow any deductions for which you qualify. @rsutherl

If you are all in the same policy, you should only enter your Form 1095-A once, first verify your entries and verify that you only have one Form 1095-A entered.  If you only have one Form 1095-A entered and you are still getting issues with the Marketplace number, delete the form and enter it again.     To do this: Open or continue your return. Navigate to the 1095-A section: TurboTax Online/Mobile: Go to 1095-A. TurboTax Desktop: Search for 1095-a, then select the Jump to link. Select ‌Add/Edit ‌ Click the Delete next to the 1095-A form you entered, confirm that you are deleting the form  Select Add Another and re-enter your 1095-A information    After you enter your form, there is a question in TurboTax that asks if you shared the policy with someone else.  Answer yes, and then enter the information for one of your daughters.  Then you will need to allocate the amounts between all three of you.     Where do I enter my 1095-A? @somers1969

No, don't delete Form Y-203 SP.  Instead, follow these steps:   Go to the State Taxes tab and click Edit for your New York state return. Click Update for "New York City and Yonkers info and allocations" For the question "Your Yonkers Source Income", that should be answered No since your wife didn't live or work in Yonkers. This will create an error in Smart Check for the state return to mark Yes for Yonkers source income. - Just click Continue. Continue toward finishing and filing, ignoring the prompt to mark Yes for Yonkers source income. Following these steps will show on your IT-201 return that you had Yonkers income tax withheld and that you had no income from Yonkers.

For what it's worth - I just tried importing 4 accounts all from a participating partner using TT Deluxe 2025. It imported 3 of them but the 4th it would not (not even interest, dividends). A window popped up indicating I had to use Premier to import the 4th account. I wish I had taken a screen print but did not. Hence the reason I am here reading this. It is not worth it to me to upgrade and I'll enter it manually.

If you're using TurboTax Desktop, go to FORMS and Open Form 1040/1040SR Worksheet.  You can change your answer directly on the form.  If you didn't answer at all (many people miss it), the question will pop up in the final Review and you'll be able to check the box then.    @nic_ochoa

TurboTax Error 25300 occurs when a tax file is corrupted or forced into Forms Mode, often preventing navigation back to Step-by-Step.   Fixes are: Run as Administrator: Right-click the TurboTax icon and Select "Run as administrator" This will allow for necessary updates. Update Software: Ensure TurboTax is updated via Online > Check for updates menu. "File Electronically" Workaround: While stuck in Forms Mode, go to File Electronic Filing File Electronically. Do not actually file anything. This process can force the return back into Step-by-Step mode.

In TurboTax Desktop, in the Kentucky state income tax return, the entry to the Pension Income Exclusion Worksheet was done automatically.  I am able to confirm that by selecting FORMS in the upper right hand corner of the screen and selecting Pension Worksheet in the lower left hand corner.   In addition, the Pension Income Exclusion is reported on line 8 on the Kentucky form 740.     Kentucky Schedule P Instructions states:   Types of Income Subject to Exclusion   All pension and retirement income paid under a written retirement plan is eligible for exclusion. This includes pensions, annuities, IRA accounts, 401(k) and similar deferred compensation plans, death benefits, and other similar accounts or plans. As a general rule, if the income is reported on the federal income tax return, Form 1040 or 1040-SR, line 4(b) or 5(b); Form 4972; or is a disability retirement benefit or deferred compensation distribution reported on Form 1040, line 1, then it qualifies for the exclusion.
Then you are using a form that the online version doesn't handle so the desktop version will take care of you.

You can try entering the 22 numbers and see if the program will take it. Also try using the nine-digit federal tax ID (EIN) instead. Make sure there are no spaces or special characters entered.    If this doesn't work, you should enter your Form 1099-INT/R manually. If it is entered manually, delete it and enter it again. In 2025, we demolished the old detached garage at our existing home (it was in bad shape) and had built a brand new larger garage to replace it.  I spent approximately $2200 to fully insulate the garage.  There is no business use of the garage, just personal.    Turbo Tax says "energy improvements related to new home construction don't qualify".     So our garage is new but our home was built in the 1970's.   Can I take get the credit for this insulation?
