If you tried too many times at the IRS "Where's My Refund", then you may have to wait 24 hours before will let you use the tool again. Instead, try the IRS refund hotline: 800-829-1954 You may not be locked out of it. But before phoning that, read the information below so that you have the correct info at hand. First, you need to be sure the return was successfully filed. It depends on how you chose to file the return. If you filed a paper return by mail, TurboTax does not mail it for you. If you chose that method, you would have had to print it, sign it, date it, and mail it yourself. It takes at least 4 weeks for a mailed return to show up in the IRS WMR tool. If you efiled, double-check to be sure the return was efiled successfully and accepted. If you used Online TurboTax, you can sign into your Online Account and check the efile status at the Tax Home. If you used desktop software, you can check from within the software. If that showed it was accepted, (or if you mailed a paper return), you can use the "Where's My Refund" tool at the IRS website below to monitor the status of your Federal refund. https://www.irs.gov/refunds If that IRS tool says it's not finding your information, here are some tips: If you efiled, be sure you have waited at least 24 hours after acceptance before using the IRS WMR tool. If you mailed a paper return, it won't show up in the tool for at least 4 weeks or longer. Be sure you enter the correct tax year, SSN, and filing status. Be sure you are using only the Federal refund amount. Do not include any state refund or any total refund or net refund (Fed and State) that TurboTax may have provided on a screen. Look at your actual Federal return to get the Federal refund amount, i.e., your Form 1040, Line 35a.

Once a tax return has been Accepted by the IRS or a State, TurboTax receives no further information concerning the tax return or the status of any tax refund.
Is the amount sent/issued by the IRS the same as the refund amount shown on your federal tax return Form 1040 Line 35a? - https://www.irs.gov/refunds
If not, then go to this IRS website for information on reduced refunds - https://www.irs.gov/taxtopics/tc203
Are you also receiving a state tax refund? If so, the state refund is sent directly to you based on how you chose to receive the state tax refund. Use this TurboTax support FAQ to check the state tax refund status - https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/track-state-refund/L3jgO8PGs_US_en_US?uid=m7ulm2n7

The Pandemic Refund was a tax credit for eligible people who didn't receive the full amount of their COVID-19 stimulus payments.
It could be claimed by filing a 2020 or 2021 tax return.
It is now too late to file those returns.
The IRS allows three years to file a return for a refund.

can I upgrade to the live option for just the incremetal cost between what I have paid and the live option cost? I don't want to have to pay the full cost twice (I paid for filing state and fed and now want to avoid paying for state and fed with live help option.....but am happy to pay the difference between the live and non live help versions).

if you've tied out the income lines on your 1040 then you will have captured all the premium adjustments which would apply to Fed also (you should see "ABP Adjustment" on Schedule B for all the premiums), also any input errors. that's all I can think of but if you have an oddball amount that doesn't tie to an obvious box amount, I would focus on any 1099s with mixed Treasury and non-Treasury income, double-check for adjustments that need to be split up, or the 1099-OID which doesn't have Treasury specific boxes for the premiums. Whenever I've been left with an odd mismatch it's something like this. if you're on desktop then Forms mode is pretty handy to go through the 1099s worksheets quickly, or with Online the PDF with "All Forms and Worksheets".

On your 2025 tax return, you do not report the excess contribution as it has been withdrawn. The earnings have to be reported and taxed in 2025,
For this, you would create a 2026 form 1099-R with the total distribution (excess plus earnings) in box 1, the earnings in box 2a and code PJ in box 7. You then enter this 1099-R on your 2025 tax return, and the earnings will be taxed. When entering this form 1099-R, make sure to indicate that the year on the form is 2026, as this is a replica of the form you will receive for year 2026 in 2027.
When you receive the 2026 form 1099-R with code PJ in box 7 (in 2027) for this withdrawal, there is no further action needed.
