If box 19 is empty then leave all boxes 18, 19 & 20 Blank, no spaces. If box 19 Local Income Tax has an amount then I think you can put the amount from box 1 into box 18 for Local Wages.

I just bought Turbotax premier from Costco. I am trying to activate / register Turbotax. It is asking for my Intuit account information. After entering that information, it is giving me an error message saying "Unable to sign into Turbotax cloud" and it takes me out and keep asking me for my Intuit account information. It is stuck in the loop. :(

Talk to your employer.
You cannot have more taxes withheld then wages reported. You need a corrected W-2 from the employer

If you're asking about that $6,000, it is not a credit but a deduction computed on Schedule 1-A, check line 37

WHY DO I HAVE TO PAY? I WANT THE FREE EDITION
The information that you can enter in Free Edition is pretty limited now. Thanks to the tax laws that began for 2018 returns, there are no more simple Form 1040EZ or 1040A's. Everything goes on a Form 1040 that has three extra "schedules" with it, and if you need any of those schedules, you are not able to use the Free Edition. Using the standard deduction instead of itemizing does NOT mean you will not need any of those schedules. If you started in the Free Edition and entered any data that required any extra forms or schedules, you have to upgrade to a paid version and if you are watching the screens carefully you are alerted to the upgrade.
TurboTax Online: Important Details about Filing Simple Form 1040 Returns
If you have a simple Form 1040 return only (no forms or schedules except as needed to claim the Earned Income Tax Credit, Child Tax Credit or student loan interest), you can file for free yourself with TurboTax Free Edition, or you can file with TurboTax Live Assisted Basic at the listed price. Roughly 37% of taxpayers are eligible.
Examples of situations included in a simple Form 1040 return (assuming no added tax complexity):
W-2 income
Interest, dividends or original issue discounts (1099-INT/1099-DIV/1099-OID) that don’t require filing a Schedule B
IRS standard deduction
Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC)
Child Tax Credit (CTC)
Student loan interest deduction
Taxable qualified retirement plan distributions
Examples of situations not included in a simple Form 1040 return:
Itemized deductions claimed on Schedule A, like charitable contributions, medical expenses, mortgage interest and state and local tax deductions
Unemployment income reported on a 1099-G
Business or 1099-NEC income (often reported by those who are self-employed, gig workers or freelancers)
Stock sales (including crypto investments)
Income from rental property or property sales
Credits, deductions and income reported on other forms or schedules
1095A for marketplace health insurance

It is not part of your Standard Deduction. The new Senior Deduction is separate and in addition to the Standard Deduction or your Itemized Deductions on 1040 line 12e. The 6,000/12,000 senior deduction will be calculated on 1040 Schedule 1-A page 2 Part V Enhanced Deduction for Seniors which goes to 1040 line 13b. Turbo Tax automatically includes it if you qualify. Before filing you can preview the 1040 or print the whole return https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/accessing/help/how-do-i-preview-my-turbotax-online-return-before-filing/00/26160 The maximum deduction is $6,000 for each person 65+. The phaseout is 6% of the amount by which MAGI exceeds $75,000 for single or $150,000 for married filing jointly (MFJ). The MAGI is normally the same as your AGI on 1040 line 11 but with some Foreign items from Form 2555 added back in. On a joint return the phaseout is calculated separately for each person, so the 6% phases out for each spouse. You can not get it if you file MFS Married filing Separate.

If you're asking why your state refund isn't reported on your Federal 1040, the refund may not be taxable. There is a worksheet in the 2024 file wherethe taxability is calculated. Thanks JamesG1. But then how to report proceeds from decentralized platforms? The 1099-DA only has the activity on the issuing broker and may not reflect proceeds correctly because of that. The only way to accurately report proceeds realized across numerous platforms (non-brokers) is by providing TurboTax with the csv, as it's been done before.
