I see plenty of articles on how to change the phone numbers associated with the sign in & security section, but I do not see anything on how to update the phone number in the contact info from the "preferences" section, where there is no option to do so. Has anyone been able to solve this?

Actually I would just enter your total income as Other self employment income or as Cash or General income. You don't need to get a 1099NEC or 1099Misc or 1099K. Even if you did you can enter all your income as Cash. Only the total goes to schedule C. You can fill out Schedule C and enter 1099NEC, Cash or Self Employment Income into Online Deluxe but if you have any expenses you will have to upgrade to the Premium or use any of the Desktop CD/Download programs. All the Desktop programs have the same forms, so you can buy a lower version. You just get more help and guidance in the higher versions. You will have to report your income from Form 1099-NEC on Schedule C. The IRS considers this income as self-employment income. You don't have to name the business, you can use your name. The good thing is that you'll be able to deduct reasonable and customary business expenses from that income.
To report self-employment income, follow the steps below:

Answer Yes on the next screen - Did you have any self-employment income or expenses?
Answer the questions on each screen, when you get to the screen - Let's enter the income for your work, select the for
Scroll through the screens to enter the information.

As long as you scheduled your direct debit before the due date (April 15, 2025), there's nothing to worry about. the IRS or your state may not be able to debit your payment until after the deadline, due to high e-filing volume. Also, it can take your bank another few days to post the debit to your account. Refer to the TurboTax Help article When will my tax payment go through? @dweaver2575

The most common rejection is for the wrong AGI. Try entering 0 for the AGI. The IRS might have processed your return later so the AGI didn't get entered in time. Especially if you mailed it. That works for most people. See, https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/rejections/help/what-if-i-entered-the-correct-agi-and-i-m-still-getting-an-e-file-reject/00/27031 How to correct the AGI in the Online version https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/agi/help/where-do-i-correct-my-agi-in-turbotax-online/00/26311 If you can’t get it to efile you will have to print and mail it. https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/printing/help/how-do-i-print-and-mail-my-return-in-turbotax-online/00/26258 Be sure to attach copies of your W2s and any 1099s that have withholding on them. You have to mail federal and state in separate envelopes because they go to different places. Get a tracking number from the post office when you mail them for proof of filing.

Did you use the Online version? Do you have the Desktop program? If you used the Online version for a prior year. To get back to the original return you need to download the .tax2022 file and install the Desktop program to open it. Then you can delete the amended return and take out the changes to put it back. In the Desktop program all you have to do is go to Forms mode and delete the 1040X. Then take the changes out.
