I'm ready to file but need to set up a payment plan. I want to partial pay and then make payments on the remainder. The TurboTax instructions are confusing and the answers in this form don't clarify if I go through TurboTax is that the same as "online" or does that include the extra "offline" fee? Do I choose "send a check" and then work it out on the IRS website (I have an account) or just continue with the TurboTax walk through and it's the same thing as "online"?
My payroll company made the schedule H form which I uploaded to turbo tax.  Should I also keep the form created in Turbo tax or delete that form?

I have a supplemental schedule that says my investment is 55% of eligible income from US govt Securities for mutual funds.  Do I simply calculate 55% of box 1a to show the portion?  How do I actually report the portion that is eligible income from US govt securities? Can someone help me understand?

Thanks for responding. @AmyC - Your reply above on Mar 7 2025 mentioned WA PFML will not be taxable for employee own medical condition, but this reply mentions that we need to identify % of WA PFML contribution by the employer and employee. I want to go with the Mar 7 2025 reply since WA PFML is not issuing any tax forms when filed directly. How do I handle the W2 from Lincoln in this case, so that I do not pay taxes on this income? @DaveF1006

Try a series of five 1s (11111) for the zip code to see if this will resolve the error.  This isn't a field that is critical when filing and this may allow you to get the return filed, and then we can investigate the issue.  If there is a software issue, it won't be resolved by tomorrow and the series of 1s will allow you to get your return filed.   To investigate further, I need a diagnostic file which is a copy of your tax return that has all of your personal information removed. You can send one to us by following the directions below:   TurboTax Online: Sign into your online account. Locate the Tax Tools on the left-hand side of the screen. A drop-down will appear. Select Tools On the pop-up screen, click on “Share my file with agent.” This will generate a message that a diagnostic file gets sanitized and transmitted to us. Please provide the Token Number that was generated in the response.    A screenshot is ideal. TurboTax Desktop/Download Versions: Open your return. Click the Online tab in the black bar across the top of TurboTax and select “Send Tax File to Agent” * This will generate a message that a diagnostic copy will be created.  Click on OK and the tax file will be sanitized and transmitted to us. Please provide the Token Number (including the dash) that was generated in the response.  A screenshot is ideal. *(If using a MAC, go to the menu at the top of the screen, select Help, then, “Send Tax File to Agent”)

It depends. Most often, it would not be taxable income.  The payout from an insurance policy that you are paying for only becomes taxable income when it results in you being in a better financial situation than you started. Currently, that doesn't seem to be the case for you.    Any amounts received from the insurance company that represents a loss of rental income would be rental income.   Capital improvements would be a new asset only if you do more than just put it back to it's original condition immediately before the leak. See IRS Publication 547 about Insurance and Other Reimbursements   Expenses for such things as drying/dehumidification would be expenses and again, reduce any expenses by the amount of insurance proceeds for those maintenance items. Only deduct expenses above the amount you were reimbursed for such things.   Any payments received in future years would be considered income on your rental activity.
If spouse and filing joint, yes. If child, it depends. What kind of 1099?
Do we delete the schedule H form that was created then?

I went through my TT app on my imac, putting in my federal information (which did not ask for state income tax paid). Then I went through my Oregon part, but there is no place where it asks for Oregon income tax paid. So, it is all done now, and it thinks I paid no Oregon state income tax. Where can I add that in? Thanks. Mac
Did TurboTax make a mistake by asking if you received a 1099 or in 2024?
No, you will have to purchase TurboTax Desktop or TurboTax Online to prepare you personal taxes and enter your business profits and losses yourself.
How to file for extension
It's asking for form 2210 Line D and won't let me continue until I put in an amount.
hay que hacerla a traves del correo postalñ pero turbo tax no me deja imprimir
Include it. You can pay online at Payments or have it debited from your account. The account will take longer but count as on time as long as your return is filed on time.
