The point remains the same though - and in my case where I give to multiple charities sometimes one time gifts and sometimes multiple gifts, tracking it all on the it’s deductible app, knowing that it’s easily transferable to my tax return is a nice feature that is silly to terminate - and especially capricious & unnecessary determinate before the end of the tax year.

I file a joint Federal and Virginia Taxes return for me and my spouse (we are Virginia residents) but for my daughter, who is a NY resident, I file Federal and NY taxes. However, despite clearly indicating that me and my spouse are residents only of Virginia, Turbotax automatically also prepare NY state taxes for us. How do I remove the NY Tax form from my joint return. This was not a problem when I did it the last two years but this year, this problem has popped up. The search function in TurboTax used to be marginally useful before but it does not provide ANY useful information to queries anymore.

Where are you looking? I can go back and find posts from before 2019. What are you looking for? The search isn’t perfect but it’s getting better.

You made my point, at least partially; give cash, which is what the vast majority of charitable organizations prefer. As far as the tax deduction, yes, "capture all of that" by all means. However, this thread concerns ItsDeductible which is largely used by those who donate items that were previously used for personal purposes, and not cash which is rather simple to track without a program such as ItsDeductible.

For miscellaneous income reported on Form 1099-MISC
If you received a Form 1099-MISC for something that is not related to self-employment, follow these steps in TurboTax Online:
Sign in and click Federal in the left-hand menu.
Select Wages & Income.
Scroll down to the Other Common Income section and click the down arrow.
Click Start next to Form 1099-MISC.
Follow the prompts and enter the information from your form.
When asked if the work involved an "intent to earn money," answer No. This will ensure it is treated as miscellaneous income rather than self-employment income.

robust charitable giving should also include a tax deduction as per the constructs of the law. Plus, people who are particularly focused on charitable giving will do even more than what the standard deduction would allow. my charitable giving is in terms of cash, and why wouldn’t someone want to capture all of that for a tax deduction. unless of course, your charitable giving is so anemic that it wouldn’t qualify for itemization anyhow, due to not exceeding the standard deduction limit. that’s not the case for me and many others who are committed to supporting our charities robustly. Not just with secondhand clothing as you presume. I would encourage you to give more robustly to organizations making an impact (to the point where it exceeds the standard deduction) and then come back and tell us that you don’t want to leverage the legal right to a tax deduction.

If you're using TurboTax Business, it should be at the beginning of the program. If not, you have the wrong program (i.e., a 1040 prep product and not the one you need to prepare an 1120-S).

I believe @AmeliesUncle is correct. I think you might be able to get it entered correctly if, and only if, you used forms mode (in the installed - desktop -products) but it is going to be an absolute mess and would likely require one or more overrides (NOT recommended!). Find a tax pro in your area as @AmeliesUncle suggested and make sure they're experienced in 1031 exchanges. https://taxexperts.naea.org/expertdirectory

Apparently Consumer Reports asking CEO Satya Nadella to extend free Windows 10 support worked! I have four (4) PCs running Win 10. Three (3) of them had "Enroll in Extended Security Updates..." on the Windows Update screen. Clicking "Enroll now" worked perfectly. The fourth PC didn't show that choice, but I found instructions on the web how to do it, and they also worked perfectly. This is the link to the instructions: https://www.yourwindowsguide.com/2025/09/cant-enroll-in-windows-10-esu.html
