@meagain1 wrote: Not sure why you are stumping for Intuit TT, but I have NEVER filed my taxes through Intuit.  I'm not "stumping" for anyone, anything, OR any product.   I'm merely pointing out that there are alternatives for those who don't want to upgrade to Windows 11 (which desktop versions of TurboTax require).    My attitude is if so-called "long-time users" of TurboTax don't want to use TurboTax for ANY reason, they do not have to and should not do so. The one issue I have is those same people continually whining about Intuit's policies on this board. If they don't like it, just move on; use a tax pro, different software, or prepare the return manually.

The Enhanced Deduction for Seniors is automatically generated based upon your filing status and age.   The $6,000 Enhanced Deduction for Seniors is reported on IRS Schedule 1-A Part V lines 31 through 37.  The total of IRS Schedule 1-A may be found on line 13b of the IRS form 1040.    In TurboTax Online, you may print or view your full tax returns prior to filing after you have paid for the software.   View the entries down the left side of the screen at Tax Tools. Select Print Center. Select Print, save or preview this year's return.  In TurboTax Desktop, select FORMS in the upper right hand corner of the screen.

If you receive a pension, you should receive a form 1099-R which you have to enter on your tax return.   You can enter your form 1099-R by following the instructions in this TurboTax Help article.

I filed my taxes on 01/14/2026 I went back in after I filed and was going to submit my statement and went to my wages and noticed EIN number was not correct I changed it there but returns as already filed but not sent or accepted beys Irs until the 23rd. so I know the EIN number probably was not updated since it was already in received status by TT on the 14th. Well the Irs also did not reject the return the wages and employer name and address match but not the EIN number, so what is going to happen now why was not rejected by the IRS to be fixed
Qmid code I7Q6 keeps getting rejected for electrical panel upgrade on online version.  Says to print and mail it in.  Users report it works on freetaxusa.  Shoddy work for a paid tax software.
I'm getting the same error, quite annoying. And I guess you can only talk to AI??

M-M Tax   Not sure why you are stumping for Intuit TT, but I have NEVER filed my taxes through Intuit.  There is no requirement to use them.  I can print out all the appropriate forms and send them into the great IRS paper cloud, or use TT as a gathering point and allow my accountant to do e-filing, or if I can get the AGI down e-file (https://www.irs.gov/file-your-taxes-for-free) on my own.  Sending Intuit or any other not required third party my annual return would seem as inappropriate as scanning my passport or driver license to one of the purported secure identity services like the one used by LinkedIn or CapitalOne.  And yes Intuit has a leak "https://www.classaction.org/blog/intuit-data-breach-lawsuit-filed-by-turbotax-user-over-2024-cyberattack".

How do I keep on top of this issue?  Big item donation year.  Dozens of items in the range of $100-$200 donation value.  I want to report separately to minimize IRS misinterpreting.  I downloaded my CSV file from ItsDeductible before it crapped out.  Each "Charitable Organizations Worksheet" (in FORMS) still shows a section for ItsDeductible imported data.  Can I access that somehow??  Is there an alternative way to import data?
Wanted to bump this issue for resolution.  I may have to use another platform if TurboTax does not support this functionality.
Keep moving forward. It does look like you are starting over but the program will take you back to the form where you can edit.
