"Will I receive my refund even though it's been 6 weeks..."   Be reassured that  if you are rightly due a refund, you'll get it at some point even if takes several weeks or even several months.   So don't be scared that you're not going to get it solely based on the time it's taking.  Some returns are randomly pulled for more processing.   Some require extra processing due to the items in the return.  Or the IRS may end up needing some more info from you.   There's no way to tell unless the IRS leaves you a message at the IRS refund tracker, or you get a letter/notice in the mail.   If it goes on unusually long without any message change at the tool, you could phone the IRS to see if they can tell you anything about the delay.  Since it's been 6 weeks, you could do it now, if you wish, for your own peace of mind.  If you do that, when the robot asks, just say "accounts management" or "speak to an agent about my account."   You may have to say it more than once.   IRS: 800-829-1040 (7AM-7 PM local time) Monday-Friday

The proper way to handle it would have been to get a corrected 1099-NEC.  The best way now would be to add an expense to your Schedule C for $312.  You can list it as Miscellaneous, or whatever you want.  You should save the documentation that shows the 1099 was wrong, if you have any.

Generally, you do not need to report your spouse's income on your separate return, but you must know it to determine filing requirements or if claiming certain credits.  f you live in a community property state (Arizona, California, Idaho, Louisiana, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas, Washington, or Wisconsin), you have to know it to report half of all community income.  If you need it for the Child and Dependent Care Credit, I suggest you estimate it.  And, you could always ask!
