SSN not being accepted?

what is reject code?. it is possible someone has already filed using your SSN - researching the error code will give you some idea. post back with code if you need further help. by the way if someone already filed using your SSN your only option is to paper file and wait for correspondence from IRS

wont let me post the error code but the reason is the SSN does not match IRS records. We received it this week so was thinking is there ever a delay on updating this on the government side? if not is there any other explanation?
