Could AT&T data breach affect tax return?

I filed months ago and received my state return immediately. My fed tax return was received but has not yet been approved. Could this be due to identity theft, since my information was found on the dark web?

It's likely not related. First, check the IRS Where's My Refund? site to get the most updated status of your 2023 refund. If it's been more than 21 days since you've filed or if the site tells you to, then contact the IRS for more help locating your refund.
