2021 Tax Amendment

I processed an amendment on my 2021 tax return on 15 April. The state amendment got accepted, but the federal got declined because I was missing a business operating number. Am I still able to fix this amendment and also how would I obtain the business operating number if it was not on my document from my previous employer?

You will need to paper file your amendment since it is from a prior year. I'm not sure what a business operating number is or where you are being asked this.
