Last year on form 8915-E we were not required to Input a disastername, a disaster beginning date. form 8915-F - it was saying FEMA Disaster Number required.

Appendix B Qualified Disaster Areas by Year from Instructions for Form 8915-F states:

 

Virus SARS-CoV-2 or coronavirus disease 2019 (referred to collectively in these instructions as coronavirus)

 

Are you able to enter 'Coronavirus' or 'Virus SARS-CoV-2' and pass Federal Review?

At the screen Did you take a 2020 Qualified Disaster Distribution?, I clicked Yes, you had a 2020 Qualified Disaster Distribution.

 

I also checked If this was a Coronavirus-related distribution reported in 2020 check here.

 

Where were you asked to input a FEMA number?

Did either of you take a disaster distribution at any time between 2018 and 2020?

 I answered yes, it then said to return to 1099 screen

 

In the 1099 screen  

Have you ever taken a disaster distribution before 2021?

 

I answered yes

 

Then input what i took it in 2020 due to covid and entered my information from last year's 8915E.  When turbo tax was final reviewing my federal it stated I needed to answer  need reviewed.  It stated to "Check this Entry" Disaster Name Must be Entered
