Not unless your pet is a service animal.  You can deduct the cost of buying, training, and maintaining a guide dog or service animal as a medical expense to assist a person with a visual impairment, hearing disability, or other physical disability. This includes food, grooming, vet care, and premiums paid for a veterinary care policy. However, pet insurance and care aren't deductible for non-guide dogs or service animals, as animals aren't considered dependents.   Animals used in business may be deductible as a business expense.   From:  Can I claim my pet?
