I paid, out of pocket, for prescription sunglasses. Can the cost of those be deducted?

I also paid for lens cleaning spray. Would that be deductible also?

Yes. Prescription eyeglasses are deductible as a medical expense. There is no limitation preventing the deduction of prescription sunglasses. See this explanation from IRS Publication 502:

Eye Exam

You can include in medical expenses the amount you pay for eye examinations.

Eyeglasses

You can include in medical expenses amounts you pay for eyeglasses and contact lenses needed for medical reasons. See Contact Lenses , earlier, for more information.

However, I would not deduct the cleanser.
