You would mail the Louisiana return to Mississippi.

From the Department of Revenue Website:

"If you are a Mississippi resident and earn income from another state, you must include all income on your Resident form. You may be entitled to claim a credit against your Mississippi tax liability for the income taxes paid to the other state. You must include a copy of the other state's return to receive that credit. Please note, credit for taxes paid to other states is the other state's actual tax liability, not the other state's withholding. "

You state that you're a MS resident then the next sentence has MS (other state return) so it's not clear whether you're a resident of MS or your a nonresident of MS.

Generally, you attach any tax forms that have MS state income tax withholding. An example if form W-2.

If you are a Mississippi resident or have Mississippi income and the income exceeds the allowable deductions and exemptions, you are required to file a return. If you are not required to file a Mississippi return, but you received a W-2 form stating you had Mississippi tax withheld, you must file a Mississippi return to get a refund of your Mississippi withholding.

If you're not a resident of MS, see How do I file a nonresident state return?

If you e-file the MS return, you don't have to mail in anything.

If you are mailing the MS tax return:

  • If you are receiving a refund
    P.O. Box 23058
    Jackson, MS 39225-3058
  • All other income tax returns
    P. O. Box 23050
    Jackson, MS 39225-3050

Sorry, let me clarify my situation.

I work in MS.

My wife works in LA.

We both reside in MS.

When I went through filing my return, turbotax mentioned that I would need to mail my LA return to MS.

I can't go back and find any information about it when I look through my account.

So...as an MS resident, filing federal, MS (resident state), and LA...I believe I have to mail the LA return to MS.

Is that correct ?

And if so, is it just the LA return to MS ? And at what address?

Thanks

I am a Mississippi resident who worked in NJ and LA last year. I e-filed my tax through TurboTax. Do I still need to MAIL my NJ return and LA return to Jackson, MS?

No, if you e-filed your MS state return all the necessary forms will be sent to MS.  You do not need to mail anything.

This is false according to turbo tax.

Part of my return for MS states that I must mail in my out of state returns to DOR in Jackson.

The address is printed in my tax return documents.
