Virginia Form 760 should be mailed as follows:

REFUND RETURNS

Virginia Department of Taxation

P.O. Box 1498

Richmond, VA 23218-1498

TAX DUE RETURNS

Virginia Department of Taxation

P.O. Box 760

Richmond, VA 23218-0760

If you file your return by paper, you do not need to include a copy of your federal return with your Virginia return.

REQUIRED ENCLOSURES WITH FORM 760

Forms W-2, 1099 and VK-1 showing Virginia withholding
Schedule ADJ • Schedule VAC • Schedule OSC • Schedule CR
Form 760C or Form 760F
Virginia Credit Schedules
Other Virginia Statements or Schedules

How do I assemble my return?

Attach W-2 and 1099 forms with a single staple at the left center of page 1 of the return. Staple any checks to the left of page 1, just below the W-2 and 1099 forms. Staple the return along with all other forms and attachments together in the upper left hand corner.

Please see the attached link for the address to use to mail your federal tax return to the IRS.

If you are mailing your VA state return in, please see pages 43 and 44 on the following link for the applicable address to use as it varies based upon your county of residence.

You do not need to include a copy of your federal return with your VA state return.

Please note the IRS is not currently processing paper returns so there will be a delay in processing your return if you do mail it in.
