Turbotax is itemizing but does not show a Schedule A

Turbotax is clearly itemizing since my state tax + property tax + charitable deductions significantly exceeds the MFJ standard deduction (and the SALT deduction is not reduced by the income ceiling) but it does not show a Schedule A. Why is this and how can I get it to show the Schedule A, since it is clearly itemizing as I can see both from adding the amounts above and by the deduction it is giving being well over the $31,500 MFJ deduction.

It's not clear what you mean by "show" Schedule A. Where are you looking for Schedule A? Are you using TurboTax Desktop or TurboTax Online?

What is the exact amount on your Form 1040 line 12e? Look at the actual tax form, not a summary screen in TurboTax.

Are either you or your spouse age 65 or older or blind? Each of those factors adds another $1,600 to the standard deduction.

Thx. I am clicking on the 'Forms' button on the top (in Turbotax desktop for Mac) and it shows every form - except the Schedule A. The amount on the 1040 line 12e is the correct (itemized) deduction - the sum of state tax, property tax, charitable donations and a few other small deductions - it significantly exceeds the MFJ standard deduction for 2 seniors. So clearly all the deduction data was entered, it was all used to itemize (exceeding the standard deduction) and it flowed into the 1040. But inexplicably there is no Schedule A among all the forms, unlike every other year where I could view my Schedule A to easily see the itemized deductions. A weird Turbotax software glitch, or is there a good explanation? THANKS for any assistance.

First make sure that your software is up=to-date. On the Mac I think all you have to do is close the TurboTax program, then run it again, while connected to the internet.

I don't know if it's the same on the Mac, but in forms mode in Windows, at the top of the list of "Forms in My Return" there is an Open Form icon. You can click on Open Form and open any form that you want, even if it's not included in your tax return. See if you can open Schedule A. If so, see if all of your deductions are correctly listed, and if the amount on line 17 is the same as the amount on Form 1040 line 12e.
