Louisiana return still pending after federal return accepted

After multiple tries federal return was accepted, but Louisiana return still pending for days.

State return can stay pending for up to 3 week, so it is normal.   The IRS has been taking up to 10 days for some, so its nothing to be alarmed about.   

 

 From Louisiana.gov - The department has responded to increasing occurrences of tax fraud by implementing enhanced security measures to protect Louisiana taxpayers. This means it will take additional time to process refunds. The expected refund processing time for returns filed electronically is up to 4 weeks.    

They are slowly accepting returns this year.   Here is the link to the notice

I have two Louisiana returns that are in pending after federal are accepted.

State returns from Louisiana can take up to 4 weeks to process. Here's what the state website has to say about the delays:

 

"The department has responded to increasing occurrences of tax fraud by implementing enhanced security measures to protect Louisiana taxpayers. This means it will take additional time to process refunds. The expected refund processing time for returns filed electronically is up to 4 weeks."
