How do I get a refund for money collected by a state I don't live in?

I live in MD. My employer withheld tax for GA for part of 2018 then corrected their mistake. I owe the same amount of tax to MD that was withheld for GA.

You would need to file a nonresident GA return(if you were a nonresident) and allocate zero income to GA in order to get all that tax back. Do NOT file an other state tax credit in MD for tax paid to GA.
