When finished with state and fed tax forms does turbotax charges additional fee to submit to the IRS?

    No.   There is no additional fee to e-file when you use online TurboTax.  The fee is for using the sofware to prepare your return, and is the same whether you e-file or mail the return in an envelope.   If you choose to file by mail--YOU have to print it, sign and date it in ink, and mail it yourself.

    When you use the desktop download, there is an extra state e-file fee of $20--which increases to $25 after March 1.  You can avoid the state e-file fee if you print and mail the state.
