How many computers can turbotax 2024/25 (tax year 2024, TurboTax pgm available January 2025) be installed on using one serial number? For TT2023 it was 5 computers.

My wife and I and three kids files separate 1040 using TurboTax on separate computers. Last year we used the same serial number on each of the computers.. no issue. Is the process the same for 2025 tax year 2024?

You can install/download the software to up to five computers that YOU own. Among all of those computers you have a limit of five federal e-files. If you need to prepare more than five returns the other ones can be filed by mail.

By the way, this year they are not selling the CD. Download only. Since you now have to log into an Intuit Account all your downloads and licenses are listed there (even if you bought it from somewhere else) so if you need to download to install it again or install on another computer, even on the other operating system (Windows, Mac). Other than that 2024 is the same as 2023.
