How to setup payment plans with state (Georgia) when filing? The only options appearing are: Direct debit from my bank account and Pay by check.

Go to this Georgia website for how to apply for an installment plan for the Georgia taxes owed - https://dor.georgia.gov/installment-agreements-faq

When filing your return you can select pay by check so that you can e-file the state return. Then do not send a check if you have set up an installment plan.

The State of Georgia Department of Revenue has provided a website where you can make online tax payments. See this page for instructions.

The Georgia DOR also offers installment agreements. See this page for information.

As @DoninGA just noted, you can choose "pay by check" if you are setting up an installment plan.
