You can enter a FEIN or Payer's TIN, but there is a difference.  A FEIN ( Federal Employers Identification Number) or EIN  identifies a businesses that operates in the U.S. and a TIN (Taxpayer Identification Number) is used to describe different types of tax id numbers.  A Payer's TIN could be an Employer Identification Number (EIN), Social Security Number (SSN) or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN).

For more information, refer to the TurboTax article How do I find my employer's EIN or Tax ID?
