Installer error 1603 while updating Turbotax 2023

I purchased Turbotax 2023 as soon as it was available. The initial installation and first update or two went fine, but now when I try to do an update I get fatal installer error 1603. The most recent support article dated January 13, 2023 for error 1603 suggests running a manual update and gives a link to download updates but the most recent update is for Turbotax 2022. What do I need to do either to fix the error or download an update for Turbotax 2023? Turbotax will not run without the update.

If you bought the program from Intuit, you can download the entire file from the site below after logging in.

Try doing a repair install first, and then an uninstall and re-install.

......and two other things to try without doing a full re-install (assuming this is a Windows Computer)

1) Close TTX, then rt-click on the TurboTax icon, and select Run as Administrator. then see if it updates OK.

2) There were a couple Windows OS updates issued this week. IF partially-but-not-fully installed, that can cause TTX issues. So:

Check for the recent Windows updates....get them fully installed...then make sure you reboot your computer before attempting to run & update TTX again.

after that....yeah, an uninstall-reinstall might be needed.
