What is a schedule 4? I have a simple return with one W2 why do I need turbo tax deluxe?

Schedule 4  is one of the new tax forms and includes "Other Taxes" like self-employment tax, unreported social security & Medicare tax, additional tax on IRAs etc.

 If you have any of the taxes due that are listed on Schedule 4 you will need to use TurboTax Deluxe.  The screenshot  shows Schedule 4

If you do not have any of the taxes due listed on Schedule 4 you do not need TurboTax Deluxe, use TurboTax Free Edition
