I completed my 2021 using turbo tax assuming they would be useful in filing but i got a window that closed and i couldnt read the instuctions to file.

A 2021 tax return can only be printed and mailed, it cannot be e-filed using TurboTax.

To access your prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

Scroll down to the section Your tax returns & documents. Click on the Year and Click on Download/print return (PDF)

If you used the desktop CD/Download editions installed on your computer, the only copy of your tax data file and any PDF's will be on the computer where the return was created. TurboTax does not store online any returns completed using the desktop editions.

Include with the mailed return any forms W-2 and 1099 which have taxes withheld on the form.

Consider using a tracking service from the US Post Office when mailing the tax return so that you will know that the IRS received the return.

No----a 2021 return cannot be e-filed. It has to be printed, signed and dated in ink, and filed by mail.

When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.

Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses. Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.
