I am filing taxes for doing Shipt. TurboTax is requiring me to fill out Box 6 with a state. On the 1099-NEC I received from Shipt, that box is empty?

I have tried reading other posts on this subject and I am unamble to find an answer to my situation. Box 6 on the 1099-NEC is blank. Box 5 has a 0 filled in yet, Box 7 does have a dollar amount. TurboTax is requiring me to fill in Box 6. Should I fill in with Shipt's state?

If box 5 is empty or 0 then leave boxes 5-7 Blank too. You only need box 1. And you don't even need to enter the 1099NEC. You can enter it as Cash or General Income. Only the total goes to Schedule C line 1.

Two options:

If Shipt sent you the form and did not withhold state tax, they may not have a state id. You should be able to enter the fed in number as the state number in that case.
You may want to leave the entire state section empty. Your resident state will tax it anyway and with no tax, no reason to fill in that area
