Back taxes - Need 2016 Deluxe version...
I need to do & mail in my 2016 State & Federal tax return. Is the software available for 2016 (TurboTax Deluxe)? I have seen it being sold on Amazon (etc.), but prefer to purchase from the source.
Even if you find the 2016 software on eBay, etc. you will not be able to update it, so you will not get accurate results. The 2016 software is no longer available nor is it supported by TurboTax. It is too late to get a refund for a 2016 tax return; but if you owe tax due for 2016 you still need to pay the IRS the tax and penalties and interest.
You can use the paper forms to prepare by hand and mail them in. Or maybe seek local paid tax help.
