In Windows 10 click on the start menu in the lower left corner.  Then select the gear icon along the left side of the menu that pops up.  A window will open.  Go to Apps located in the right hand column, second down.  Another window will open.  Scroll down the list which is alphabetical and select TurboTax 2019.  then select Uninstall and follow the prompts.

For TurboTax Online, if you have not paid for the tax return or registered the tax return, you can use Clear and Start Over.

Clear and Start Over will wipe all the data you have already entered. You will be starting over from scratch.

To Clear and Start Over in TurboTax Online:

  • You should be signed in and working in TurboTax Online
  • In the left-hand black menu, click on Tax Tools
  • Then choose Clear and Start Over.

TurboTax defaults to the edition that you were last using. You will change the edition in the first couple of screens.

PLEASE HELP!!!!

I am filing an AMENDMENT to my 2019 tax return. When I try to click Clear and Start over- there is a pop up that says "once you register your tax return, or pay any turbo tax fees, we can no longer clear and start over."

I have obviously not registered my amendment however i have obviously registered my tax return (hence why I am amending it). I registered my original 2019 return with the FREE edition. In addition, I did NOT pay any fees. I have even hit "cancel amendment" about 5 times and re-filled it out but it keeps bringing me back to turbo tax deluxe. Please help me remove this!! I have a standard amendment that is covered by the free edition so it will work.

Please help, thank you.
