I was paid for my leave through my union job how would I know what part I received for my leave?

You should contact your employer if you did not receive a 1099-G for your paid leave. They should have reported the information so that you received one. Remember not to try and enter that information without a formal form issued because it can cause errors down the road.

Once you have your 1099-G, you can proceed to enter your paid leave onto your return.
