Unable to Import Forms - JPMorgan Chase - TY2022

I'm unable to import forms from JPMorgan Chase - i.e., 1099-DIV, 1099-INT, 1099-B, 1099-MISC.

I work through the system prompts including loging into my Intuit account and connecting my Chase accounts to Intuit/TurboTax using my Chase log-in credentials.  They systems indicates "Success" and takes me back to TurboxTax where I am met with an error reporting dialog box.  What's up with this? Seems to me that there were issues with this functionality with Chase last year.

Windows 10, 64 bit.  TurboTax PC.

A follow-up to my initial post…

First a bit more factual background.  I have a regular checking account, savings account, and mortgage account with Chase. The 1099-INT and the 1098 for these accounts were issued by JPMORGAN CHASE BANK, N.A. (Tax ID 13-4994650.

I also have a brokerage account held by JP MORGAN BROKER-DEALER HOLDINGS INC (Tax ID 13-4110995) – a completely separate organization within Chase’s organizational structure.

I’m thinking the system is throwing up on the fact that there are two separate Chase organizations involved each with their own tax ID and forms.  Not sure if this is an issue that can be fixed on the TurboTax-side or the Chase-side.

All that said, I went into my Chase online account and broke the linked app to TurboTax.  I then tried again only this time I selected only the brokerage account for linking.  I left the checking account, the savings account, and the mortgage accounts unchecked.  It worked.

Linking the brokerage account was preferred because the associated 1099-B has lots and lots of data on sales and dividends that I would not want to manually enter.  The other forms – i.e., 1099-INT and 1098 – are relatively easy to manually enter into TurboTax.

I have the same problem with TurboTax 2022 Premier download for MacOS. Punchout to browser reports success, then TurboTax pops up a dialog saying the import was unsuccessful. Tried with both FireFox and Safari as my default browser - makes no difference.

Does the error that you are seeing look like this?

An entry that was downloaded into TurboTax at Federal / Wages & Income / Your income / Investments and Savings / Stocks, Cryptocurrency, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other may need to be edited or adjusted.  The correction may be done here.

The 'error' message TurboTax pops up is this dialog:

When connecting to Chase via the browser punchout, everything appears to have worked fine. I get this screen in my browser:

I tried to follow your path of unlinking accounts in Chase online, but could not work out how to do that.  Can you advise on how to unlink an account from Turbotax using Chase.com?

Many thanks,

Rob

Log into Chase account
Click on the three bars (upper left corner) to open the left navigation pane.
Click on "Security & privacy"
You should then see a box labeled "Link apps and websites (# active)"
Click on the ">" at the upper right corner
Click on the arrow for "Intuit Turbo Tax via Intuit"
At lower right corner click on "Stop sharing data"

I have the same problem, on the account.  It crashes the Turbo Tax app completely every single time, deleting all the work. Thanks.

Same here, 3-18-26.  To resolve hit the installation. Exe file, it gives the option to "repair", select it. Works fine.

Turbotax is a sloppy program imo. H&R Block is more intuitive imo.  I'm using Turbotax this year (2025 tax year) because Chase Bank doesn't import well with H&R.

I'm actually going to purchase H&R and run both programs to compare results.   My particular tax situation is unusual this year because of an inheritance of brokerage and ira account transition.

Thank you for this information.  I am using Turbo 2023 and was on phone with help desk for an hour and no answer.  The linking ONLY the brokerage accounts is what WORKED.  Thank you thank you anonymous

So I too had this problem yesterday, and just manually typed in my info, but I have my other family members to do so. It's now 2024, why hasn't this been fixed??  It's not like Chase is a small-time bank.  To be blunt, I don't have the time to start running through reams of posts about only selecting certain types of account of performing other acts to get around a problem that is over a year old!

T/T and Chase are two premier organizations/software and need to work correctly.

This isn't a piece of shareware that's free. If indeed there's a restriction on only certain types of accounts, then Chase and/or T/T shouldn't offer on the panel the selection.

So when can I expect this to work for whatever accounts we have listed for the other taxes I need to do before April 2024?
