Paid Leave Oregon family leave 1099-MISC

My husband and I both received family paid leave in 2025 through Paid Leave Oregon. When I enter the 1099-MISC I received from the Oregon Unemployment Department for PLO income, it initially enters it no issue. However, when I do my final "review" then it forces me to change this income to Self Employment Schedule C (Form 1040) and asks for questions not available or applicable, like business information and codes. It changes my refund significantly and I don't want to do it incorrectly. It will not let my bypass or change.

First, delete the form from your return.

    1. Delete the Form: * Go to Tax Tools > Tools > Delete a form (or Forms Mode on Desktop).
    2. Find the 1099-MISC for Paid Leave Oregon and delete it.
    3. Also, delete any Schedule C that was automatically created.

Now enter your 1099 MISC form another way.

    1. Go to Federal > Wages & Income.
    2. Scroll to the very bottom: Less Common Income.
    3. Select Miscellaneous Income, 1099-A, 1099-C.
    4. Select Other reportable income (the last option).
    5. When it asks "Any Other Reportable Income?" say Yes.
    6. Description: 1099- MISC Resporting  "Paid Leave Oregon - Medical/Family."
    7. Amount: Enter the total from Box 3 of your 1099-MISC.
