I have always used the desktop program because I am a CPA and have use it to file taxes for myself and family. I'm being offered by Intuit to switch to the Online platform, which would be great, but I'm wondering if I can still file returns for family using my one account login? Or is it still only one filing (single or married filing jointly) per login?

The online editions are only valid for one tax return per account and User ID.  To complete another tax return using the online editions you will need to create a new account with a new User ID.

You can have up to 5 online accounts with the same email address.

How can I use my one account to create new filing for my family members? I do not see an option to start another filing for my family.

In Online TurboTax you cannot prepare more than 1 online Federal return in the same account (User ID).   Don't try to prepare a second one in the same account; it would overwrite the first return.    Each Federal return has to have its own account (User ID).

That being said, you can use the same email address for account notifications, however, in the Intuit Account Profile Settings for up to 5 accounts.   But each user ID (login) has to be  unique for each account.

In the desktop software, one can prepare multiple Federal returns and have up to 5 free Federal efiles.  The desktop software is the best choice for families or others needing to prepare multiple returns.
