I entered my self employment income and have no problem entering the amount for the 401K, but the SEP IRA is just not there this year

To enter your SEP IRA contribution in TurboTax Online after entering your self-employment income, follow these steps:

1. Use the search bar and type "SEP IRA contributions".
2. Select the option to start or update your SEP IRA contributions.
3. Answer Yes to "Did you make a 2025 self-employed retirement plan contribution?".
4. Indicate whether you contributed to an Individual or Roth 401(k) plan.
5. Select Yes when asked if you want to make a contribution to a Keogh, SEP, or SIMPLE retirement plan.
6. Enter the amount you contributed to your SEP IRA on the contributions screen.

This section appears only after TurboTax recognizes your self-employment income. Make sure your self-employment income is fully entered to access this deduction.

I have the opposite question, where can I enter my traditional IRA?

Where you said it says "traditional SEP", and I thought that was the place, but if that's only for SEP contribs then I can't find the right place to enter traditional IRA.

Thanks!

If you are logged into TurboTax Online, use this link to enter IRA Contributions.

If you're using TurboTax Desktop, search for "IRA contributions" and use the jump-to link. Or go to Deductions & Credits >> Retirement and Investments >> Traditional and Roth IRA Contributions.
