The Form 1099-R section was updated last night. 01/21/2026, for the online editions. If you are not seeing this on your account, clear cache and cookies on your web browser.

The Form 1099-R section was updated this morning, 01/22/2026, for the desktop editions. Click on Online at the top of the desktop program screen. Click on Check for Updates.

To enter, edit or delete a form 1099-R -

Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
Click on Wages and Income (Personal Income using Home and Business)
Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown)
Scroll down to Retirement Plans and Social Security
On IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals (1099-R), click the start or update button

Yeah - I tired to update my Windows TT Deluxe 2025 desktop vrsion...and it says I'm up to date. But the Form 1099-R still says "Available Soon". Is there a manual process to perform updates or a way to trigger the updated downloads?

The 1099R section was updated/issued today. However, form 8606 has not been released yet. This is getting absolutely ridiculous TT. When will it be released? I can manually infill the information under forms but it will still not update my overall tax return.

Form 8606 Update: I was told it would be ready today, 1/23, but it is not. I can get the form from the IRS website, so why can't TT upload it? When will the update be ready?
